Re-audits show an increase in guest nights in all hotels

Those that have implemented even some of the recommendations have seen decrease in energy consumption of between 10%-40%

This contributes to the reduction in the Carbon Footprint in these hotels.

CHENACT will use the reduction in Carbon Emissions for further funding opportunities

Hotels still do not see the importance of investment in EE

Many of the larger hotels have obtained finance for capital expansion. Revenue V Cost saving!

Smaller hotels are unable to find finance from traditional sources i.e. banks

Hotels in the Bahamas are charging fuel surcharges – the guests are paying!

Re-audits must be done 1 year after the first audit to see what has really happened in the hotel, new building, change of management/ownership/new equipment etc.
