2008 Oxidation O 0212 Partial Oxidations with NO2 Catalyzed by Large Gold Particles. — Gold in form of very large particles (Au powder) and 16 nm carbon-supported nanoparticles is an active epoxidation catalyst when NO2 is used as the oxidant; under the same conditions O2 is ineffective.
