    TIMEFORM 1-2-3

Urbain De Sivola (FR) - Grumeti - Sadler's Risk (IRE)

    TIMEFORM VIEW

A wide-open renewal, and it could be worth looking outside of those most prominent in themarket. Urbain de Sivola arguably wasn't given the credit he deserved for his latest effort, andlooks overpriced at the likely odds. Grumeti and Sadler's Risk also look set to go well among themany dangers.

    TIMEFORM SAYS...

    Arctic Reach

Just poor form on Flat but taken well to hurdling, winning 3 of 4 starts in juvenile events. Arriveson the back of a moderate effort in a Southwell jumpers' bumper, and up against it.

    Asaid

Form of maiden hurdle win at Huntingdon has worked out and ran a solid race in LeopardstownGrade 1 penultimate start. Easy winner of a Towcester novice latest, but improvement needed.

    Baby Mix (FR)

Impressed when unextended to beat Hinterland over C&D in December. Disappointed here nexttime but bounced back to give 3 lb and a 2-length beating to Sadler's Risk at Kempton last month.Respected.

    Balder Succes (FR)

Landed big-field newcomers race on hurdling debut in France, and followed odds-on successesin first 2 British starts with impressive 7-length victory at Ascot last month. More to come.

    Countrywide Flame

Quickly developed into a useful juvenile hurdler, winning 3 of first 4 starts over obstacles. Nothingwrong with latest third in Grade 1 at Leopardstown, but unlikely to make required improvement.

    Darroun (IRE)

140,000 purchase from Flat in France. Second to Shadow Catcher at Punchestown on hurdlingdebut, and beat Hisaabaat by 1 lengths next time. Those formlines read well here, andrespected.

    Dodging Bullets

Made up into a useful Flat performer for Andrew Oliver last summer at up to 1m, andencouraging debut when second to Grumeti on hurdling debut at Kempton, keeping on well.Open to improvement.

    Dysios (IRE)

Dual winner on the Flat for Luca Cumani, albeit at a lowly level. Improved markedly on hurdlingdebut to land Navan maiden earlier this month, but plenty more needed.

    Grumeti

Made striking hurdles debut at Taunton, and put fall behind him when awarded Grade 2 here inJanuary. Comfortable winner at Kempton last month, and respected despite late injury scare.

    Hisaabaat (IRE)

Runner-up first 3 completed hurdles starts, but improved in reapplied blinkers to landLeopardstown Grade 1 by 1 lengths from Shadow Catcher last month, and enters calculationson that form.

    His Excellency (IRE)

Temperamental gelding (tail flasher) but upped his game to land Leopardstown Grade 2 by length penultimate start. Well below that level last time, and others much more likely.

    Hollow Tree

Genuine performer who has performed with credit all 5 hurdles starts. Similar level of form inwinning Chepstow Grade 1 and when third to Grumeti/Pearl Swan here in January. Frame claims.

    Mattoral

Fair on Flat, but did become one to treat with caution. In cheekpieces when fortunate winner of2m Chepstow juvenile and improved form in defeat latest, but out of his depth here.

    Pearl Swan (FR)

Fair form up to 15f on Flat in France. Landed Taunton novice on hurdles bow in January (formfranked), and lost Grade 2 to Grumeti here only in stewards room 9 days later. Leading chance.

    Sadler's Risk (IRE)

Useful performer on Flat, fourth in the Chester Vase. Impressive on hurdling debut at Kempton(2m) and solid second to Baby Mix back there last month. Should appreciate this stiffer test.

    Shadow Catcher

Won 3 times on Flat and landed maiden by length from Darroun on hurdling bow, racing freely.Again keen when good second to Hisaabaat in Grade 1 latest, making late mistakes. More tocome.

    Urbain De Sivola (FR)

Well bred, and marked progress when easily getting off mark over hurdles at Newbury inNovember (form franked). Dead-heated in 14-runner novice at Taunton latest, and can do betterstill.

    Ut De Sivola (FR)

French import who landed the odds with minimum of fuss at Clonmel and Punchestown (by 3lengths from Hisaabaat). Below par when reportedly struck into in Leopardstown Grade 1 latest.

    West Brit (IRE)

Landed 1m heavy-ground maiden on Flat. Pulled up first hurdles start, but showed benefit ofbreathing operation/tongue tie to win at Musselburgh last month. Plenty more needed now.

    Wingtips (FR)

Won over 1m on polytrack at Deauville in August and bought for 68,000 in November. Failedto build on promising hurdles debut at Naas last month, and this looks too tough.

    TIMEFORM 1-2-3

Ubi Ace - Citizenship - Dirar (IRE)

    TIMEFORM VIEW

With the smart Flat performer Ted Spread a big disappointment in the Imperial Cup on Saturday, there are plenty of alternatives in a typically wide-open renewal. Ubi Ace has been a revelationthis season, and he's taken to make a winning start for the Jonjo O'Neill team at rewarding odds.Irish challengers Citizenship and Dirar are of interest for different reasons.

    TIMEFORM SAYS...

    Starluck (IRE)

Very smart 2m hurdler at best, placed in Fighting Fifth and Christmas Hurdle last season for AlanFleming. Ground not ideal when well held behind Binocular in Kingwell Hurdle on belated return.

    Clerk's Choice (IRE)

Sixth to Hurricane Fly in last year's Champion Hurdle for Michael Banks, but in nothing like thesame form this time round (fourth in jumpers' bumper) and this a hard race to bounce back in.

    Moon Dice (IRE)

Form took off switched to handicaps, backing up his Limerick success in the ultra-competitiveGalway Hurdle in July. Another cracking effort in the Greatwood here, also.

    Via Galilei (IRE)

Done really well since being switched to handicaps, with solid placed efforts behind Brampourand Ubi Ace to his name this term. Excused latest 2 starts, and not written off lightly.

    Ubi Ace

Progressive hurdler, racking up a hat-trick of wins at Sandown in December. Even better effort indefeat (helped force strong pace) at Musselburgh and likely to give another good account for newyard.

    Sailors Warn (IRE)

Useful juvenile hurdler last term and got back to winning ways in minor event at Limerick (2m)in October. Solid efforts in handicaps the last twice without looking to have anything in hand.

    Raya Star (IRE)

Sharp improver since tackling handicaps, landing a valuable pot at Ascot in December prior to anexcellent third behind Zarkandar and Get Me Out of Here at Newbury last month.

    Desert Cry (IRE)

Improved when making winning return in Haydock handicap in November and easy to excuselatest Newbury run behind several of these (held up in slowly-run race). This test more suitable.

    The Bull Hayes (IRE)

Impressive for both wins over hurdles, on handicap debut at Killarney in August. Shaped quitewell on return from an absence recently, but never encountered a race as competitive as thisbefore.

    Dirar (IRE)

4 from 8 in handicap hurdles, winning the 2010 Ebor along the way. Not seen to best effect in thisrace last year, and likely he's been laid out for this.

    Dee Ee Williams (IRE)

Smart performer at best, but reportedly finished distressed after this race last year, and didn'toffer enough on last month's return to warrant an interest in a race as competitive as this.

    Local Hero (GER)

Won 3 times over hurdles last season, and respectable eighth in Triumph despite mistakes.Flattered by proximity to Simonsig on belated return, and cheekpieces on now handicapping.

Alderwood (IRE)Lot to like about progress earlier this season, winning 3 times at up to 2m. Shaped as if in needof last month's return following a break, but big career best needed from this mark.

    Lifestyle

Can boast a fine strike rate over hurdles, and looked better than ever when winning at Kemptonover Christmas. Failed to travel with usual zest when favourite for a minor contest last time.

    Alarazi (IRE)

2011 Imperial Cup winner, and right back to best when beaten just length by Raya Star inLadbroke Hurdle. Has failed to back that up both starts since, though.

    Plan a (IRE)

Good strike rate over hurdles. Shaped as if amiss here in October, but right back to best whensixth behind Citizenship in January, and has some unfinished business at this meeting.

    Edgardo Sol (FR)

Didn't take long to leave French form behind upon joining this stable, winning over hurdles (at thisvenue) and fences at back end of 2011. Shaped as if still in form last month, also.

    Hell's Bay (FR)

Useful hurdler/chaser who has yet to rediscover his form since returning from injury this term. Hasa lower hurdles mark to exploit but big leap of faith required.

    Snap Tie (IRE)

Smart hurdler (seventh in 2009 Champion) and looked a chaser with a good future when winningnovice here on chase debut in November 2009. Given every chance by the assessor if returningnear his best.

    Magnifique Etoile

Useful performer in bumpers, and made it 2-2 over hurdles when winning with plenty in hand atBangor in December. Found Grade 1 too much the following month but remains capable ofbetter.

    Redera (IRE)

Hold-up performer who travels well in his races. Completed hat-trick of wins in Roscommonhandicap in the summer, and improved again when placed at Leopardstown last month. Ofinterest after that.

    Olofi (FR)

Consistent handicapper who put up a solid performance when second to Brampour in Greatwoodhere, and also when fifth to Zarkandar in Betfair Hurdle at Newbury. Likely to give another goodaccount.

Master Of Arts (USA)Taking start over hurdles at Doncaster 3 years ago before well held in Triumph. Very usefulperformer on the Flat since, but a big flop on belated return at Sandown on Saturday (blinkered).

    Ted Spread

Smart on Flat up to 1m for Mark Tompkins, and looked a handicapper to follow when bolting upat Taunton in January. Saturday's Imperial Cup eighth was disappointing, however.

    Ifyouletmefinish (IRE)

Bumper winner who took a marked step forward when dead-heating with Triumph hopeful Urbainde Sivola at Taunton last month. Opening mark fair on that evidence.

    Ingleby Spirit

Three-time winner up to 1m on Flat and taken well to hurdles, winning ordinary races atMusselburgh prior to an improved showing on handicap bow there latest. Stiff test at this trip is aworry.

CitizenshipCapitalised on lenient mark at Punchestown in November and progressive in handicaps since, onlatest start winning competitive event at Leopardstown. Leading player despite big rise.

    Court In Session (IRE)

Second on sole bumper run and successful both completed hurdles starts. Chase career quicklyaborted, and hard to be confident as to what form he's in (well held in jumpers' bumper lastmonth).

Boston Bob (IRE) - Mount Benbulben (IRE) - Sivola De Sivola (FR)

    TIMEFORM VIEW

Boston Bob is an exceptional prospect and boasts much the strongest form on offer and, with thelikelihood of even more to come now stepped up to 3m, he is a confident selection to confirmNavan form with Mount Benbulben, who nevertheless looks next best. At a bigger price, Sivola deSivola could build on his eye-catching run over shorter last time and claim a place.

    TIMEFORM SAYS...

    American Spin

Relished stamina test when easily opening hurdling account at Fontwell (27f) in October. Solidefforts next twice, including here in December, and fit from the Flat, but has a lot to find.

    Benheir (IRE)

Impressive Towcester bumper winner in November, and easy winner on hurdling bow for newconnections at Ffos Las. Improved form in defeat back there latest, but plenty to do up intrip/class.

    Big Occasion (IRE)

Useful performer on the Flat and made winning hurdles debut in 3m novice at Chepstow inDecember. Bounced back from poor effort to land 2m novice at Carlisle latest, but this muchtougher.

    Boston Bob (IRE)

Point/bumper winner who has shown very smart form over hurdles in beating Mount Belbulben inNavan Grade 1 and defying penalty at Leopordstown (Grade 2). Exciting prospect and the one tobeat.

    Brindisi Breeze (IRE)

Point winner who left good impression in winning novices at Kelso/Newcastle, and relishedtesting conditions to make all in Haydock Grade 2 last month. Frame claims if handling quickerground.

    Dawn Commander (GER)

Scored on hurdles debut at Wexford (2m) in October for Willie Codd, and better form in defeatlast 3 starts for this yard, runner-up in Bangor handicap latest. This likely too tough, though.

    Fill The Power (IRE)

Further progress when recording second hurdling win at Newcastle in November (2m), but notgone on since then, and out of his depth.

    Fox Appeal (IRE)

Steadily progressive over hurdles this season, winning 3 of 4 starts, best effort yet when defyingtop weight in Taunton handicap hurdle (3m) despite late errors. More to do, but unexposed.

    Grand Vision (IRE)

Progressive sort who has won both starts in handicaps, impressive stepping up to 3m for firsttime when landing 19-runner event by 7 lengths at Haydock last time, though this requires more.

    Hard To Swallow (IRE)

Useful bumper winner and run well without winning over hurdles, matching best form when fourthhere in January (2m). Confirmed well-being in jumpers' bumper latest, but others preferred.

    Ipsos Du Berlais (FR)

Won sole bumper start, and landed maiden hurdle at Down Royal in November. Good third toBoston Bob in Navan Grade 1, and similar form to land Punchestown minor event latest. Frameclaims.

    Lovcen (GER)

Winning pointer and built on debut to readily land 21f Towcester novice. Fell early in Grade 2 inJanuary, but greatly improved to land Wincanton handicap (2m) by 6 lengths latest. Placeclaims.

    Meister Eckhart (IRE)

Landed 2 bumpers for Charlie Swan and a heavy-ground novice hurdle (2m) for current yard.Improved form in defeat behind Brindisi Breeze in Haydock Grade 2 last month, but work to do tofeature.

    Mount Benbulben (IRE)

Smart bumper winner who showed good attitude to land Grade 2 novice hurdle at Navan (2m)in November, and found only Boston Bob too good over same C&D since. Will be suited by 3mand big player.

    Rocky Creek (IRE)

Brother to useful Tell Massini who won maiden Irish point in February. Built on promising hurdlingdebut at Exeter to land Doncaster Grade 2 (3m) from Gullinbursti in January. More to come.

Sea Of Thunder (IRE)Dual-point winner who left previous hurdles form behind when set to win but for falling at last inC&D Grade 2 in December. Respectable 15-lengths fifth to Boston Bob on testing ground nexttime.

    Sivola De Sivola (FR)

Made it 3 wins from first 4 starts this term in 3m Newbury handicap in November. Mostencouraging fourth over inadequate 17f here only start since, and more to come back overfurther.

    The Bosses Cousin (IRE)

Ran in 2 bumpers 2009/10, and returned from 20-month absence to comfortably landLeopardstown bumper in December. Easy winner on hurdles bow (2m) last month, butinexperience/trip are doubts.

    The Druids Nephew (IRE)

Irish point winner who made an encouraging start over hurdles when third at Ascot (2m) inDecember. Improved to land Kempton novice in January, but this is a different ball game.

    Tour Des Champs (FR)

Stratford maiden hurdle winner who ran a blinder on handicap bow at Huntingdon (3m) inJanuary. Pulled up on testing ground at Haydock latest, and asking a lot to bounce back andfeature here.

Long Run (FR) - Kauto Star (FR) - Weird Al (IRE)

TIMEFORM VIEWThe stage looks set for another classic duel between Kauto Star and Long Run, with preferencefor defending-champion Long Run, who can reverse Betfair Chase and King George form overthis extra 2f. Weird Al, kept fresh for this since November, appeals best of the remainder.

    TIMEFORM SAYS...

    Burton Port (IRE)

Excellent second to Diamond Harry in the Hennessy on 2010/11 return, and showed all his abilityremained intact when runner-up to Long Run in Denman Chase after an absence in February.

    Carruthers

Had his day in the sun when landing the Hennessy in first-time tongue tie at Newbury inNovember. Fourth in this race back in 2010, but ran poorly in the Welsh National when last seen.

    China Rock (IRE)

Very smart chaser who was still in touch when losing his action in this contest last year. Pulledtoo hard when behind Quel Esprit at Leopardstown last time, and stamina for this trip a concern.

    Diamond Harry

Impressive winner of 2010 Hennessy, but missed rest of season. Not seen things out on eitherstart this term, and has reportedly had a wind operation since Argento Chase in January.

    Kauto Star (FR)

Stand-out chaser of his generation. Returned to near best this season to see off Long Run inBetfair Chase and King George, and sure to make presence felt despite late training setback.

    Knockara Beau (IRE)

Genuine performer who has posted number of good efforts over hurdles and fences, includingthird in Argento Chase. Not discredited back over hurdles latest, but lacks the class of several ofthese.

    Long Run (FR)

Capped breakthrough season when taking this contest last year. Found Kauto Star too strong onfirst 2 starts this term, but back on target in Denman Chase last time, and must go well again.

    Midnight Chase

Front runner who progressed well last term, landing 4 handicaps prior to good fifth in this race.Back to best when winning Argento here in January, and not easily dismissed now.

    Quel Esprit (FR)

Successful on all 4 completed starts over fences and was completing hat-trick when taking IrishHennessy at Leopardstown last time, making most and jumping well. Much more required here, though.

    Synchronised (IRE)

Won 2010 Welsh National, and bridged the gap to graded company when taking Lexus Chase atLeopardstown after Christmas. However, needs to find another career best if he's to take this.

    The Giant Bolster

Jumping been Achilles heel over fences but barely put a foot wrong when winning Grade 3handicap here over 21f in January. Fair fourth behind Long Run at Newbury last time, but othersstronger.

    The Midnight Club (IRE)

Progressive last term, winning the Bobbyjo at Fairyhouse (25f). Not seen to best effect in 3 runsthis season, and makes minimal appeal at this level of competition.

    Time For Rupert (IRE)

Smart novice in 2010/11. Returned to winning ways when beating The Giant Bolster at Newburyin December, making all, but had no excuse when only fourth behind Midnight Chase in Argentolast time.

    Weird Al (IRE)

Made perfect start for new yard when beating Time For Rupert in Charlie Hall on return, thenhighly creditable third behind Kauto Star in Betfair Chase on next outing. Deliberately kept freshsince.

    What a Friend

Fourth in this race last year in first-time blinkers, and not discredited when third to Long Run inDenman Chase at Newbury last time, despite showing his usual awkward head carriage.

Salsify (IRE) - Chapoturgeon (FR) - Merchant Royal (IRE)

    TIMEFORM VIEW

A cracking renewal which features several former high-level performers against some of the bestpointers around. The still youthful Chapoturgeon is clearly a big player if his stamina holds out,but the progressive Salsify has no worries on that score and could prove the best option.Merchant Royal, On The Fringe and Cloudy Lane complete the shortlist.

    TIMEFORM SAYS...

    Barbers Shop

Smart chaser in his prime, and successful on both hunter starts up to this trip in recent weeks.Made to battle at Fontwell last time, and must step up again to rekindle past glories.

    Blackstaff (IRE)

Won all 3 starts in points in 2011, and successful on hunter debut at Exeter in April. Caught theeye when second at Sandown last time, but that came over shorter, and stamina doubts remain.

    Boxer Georg (IRE)

Much his best effort last season when chasing home Baby Run at Aintree in April, and belatedlyoff the mark under Rules when beating Zardsky in maiden hunter at Clonmel last time.

    Bradley

Prolific in points and won on hunter debut here in May 2010. Stepped up on good second toMonkerty Tunkerty at Warwick when taking Royal Artillery last time, and not one to dismiss lightly.

    Chapoturgeon (FR)

Smart chaser at his best for Paul Nicholls, and made a winning hunter debut at Newbury (2m)in January. Sets the standard on that form, although stamina for this extra distance notcopperbottomed.

    Cloudy Lane

Won 2007 Kim Muir, and high class at best. No match for Chapoturgeon on return, but won easilyat Ayr last time, and longer trip gives him a chance of turning the tables on his Newburyconqueror.

    Count Salazar (IRE)

Has won a trio of points this season, the latest confirming him in good heart after he'd lookedamiss in a hunter at Thurles in January. Still improving, but faces a steep rise in class here.

    Eleazar (GER)

Good strike rate in hunters, winning twice from 3 starts in 2011. No match for Barbers Shop atFakenham on return, but stamina test here will suit him much better, and cheekpieces in placenow.

    Enter Paradise (IRE)

Multiple winning pointer for Sheila Crow who was runner-up to My Flora on hunter debut in May.Confirmed that promise when scoring for new yard at Fakenham last month, and ought toimprove again.

    Herons Well

Won weak hunter at Fontwell (3m) last February, but stamina stretched when only fourth atStratford in May. Will strip fitter for recent return at Sandown, but may find others too strongagain.

    Just Amazing (IRE)

Front runner who won all 3 completed starts in hunters last season, and excuses for poor effort inthis race (reportedly bled). Not easy to dominate here, but not underestimated.

    Keenan's Future (IRE)

Sound jumper who returned to near best over fences when winning at Aintree (25f) in June.Creditable fourth in Summer National on final start for Ian Williams, but 9-month break not ideal.

    Merchant Royal (IRE)

Has thrived since attentions turned to hunters, winning last 3. Best effort when beating VikingSplash at Thurles in January, and entitled to respect with more improvement to come.

    Not Before Eight (IRE)

Not always been the most reliable, but beat Tammys Hill at Downpatrick to open account underRules and ran an excellent fourth to Salsify in strong event at Leopardstown last time. Stays verywell.

    On The Fringe (IRE)

Creditable fourth to Zemsky in this contest last season, and ran creditably on belated return whenthird to Salsify at Leopardstown last month. Still unexposed at this level, and decent claims.

    Oscar Delta (IRE)

Ran a big race on just his second start in hunters when third to Zemsky here a year ago. Beatenin 4 points since, though, and well held in hunter won by Salsify at Leopardstown last month.

    Picaroon

Useful chaser at best for Tim Vaughan, although no great battler. Has landed all 3 starts in points, latest 13 days ago, but unproven beyond 21f under Rules, and others stronger.

    Roulez Cool

Made favourite for this contest in 2010, but already beaten when brought down. Put recordstraight when taking valuable Stratford contest in May that year, but absence since is a concern.

    Rowdy Rampage (IRE)

Stepped up on the form he'd been showing for Liam Lennon (prolific in points for that yard) whentaking a handicap chase at Worcester in August. Plenty more needed here, but not finishedimproving.

    Salsify (IRE)

Improved to land valuable hunters at Fairyhouse and Punchestown last spring. Not knockedabout on return, and repaid that kindness when an impressive winner at Leopardstown lastmonth. Much respected.

    Surenaga (IRE)

Won 2011 Royal Artillery at Sandown, and ahead of Keenan's Future when third in SummerNational in June. Shaped well until tiring on bad ground at Haydock last month, but needs careerbest here.

    Turko (FR)

Impressive winner of 3m Newbury hunter last March and fair fourth behind Chapoturgeon there inJanuary. Endured a hard race in the mud at Haydock last time, and passed over now.

    My Flora

Made a seamless transition to chasing when scoring twice in hunters last spring. Held whenfalling behind Chapoturgeon at Newbury, but back on track between the flags last time, and staysall day.

    Theatre Diva (IRE)

Four wins from 6 completed starts in hunters since joining current handler. Has run respectablyon both starts this season, in handicap at Ludlow last time, but plenty on her plate here. NONRUNNER.

Bourne - Dan Breen (IRE) - Street Entertainer (IRE)

    TIMEFORM VIEW

Bourne was highly impressive at Ascot last month and could shrug off a 10 lb rise to land anotherbig prize. David Pipe runs four in his attempt to land this race for the first time, with Dan Breen, the progressive Arab League and market-mover Street Entertainer impossible to rule out.

    TIMEFORM SAYS...

    I'Msingingtheblues (IRE)

Won valuable 17f handicap chase at Ascot in November, and series of creditable efforts after untildisappointing in 21f Grade 1 there last time. Likeable sort but too much on his plate here.

    Molotof (FR)

Unbeaten in 2m hurdles in 2011/12, getting hat-trick up in Grade 2 at Ascot last time. Been givenbreak since and not impossible he could have more to offer on handicap debut.

    Tornado Bob (IRE)

Smart novice hurdler last term who seemed to be badly affected by crashing fall on chase bow onreappearance. Not at all knocked about back over timber last time, though. Check the betting.

    Empire Levant (USA)

Easy winner of 2m Newbury conditionals handicap under this rider in November and split RockOn Ruby and Raya Star there 48 hours later. Unsuited by steady gallop in Betfair Hurdle lasttime.

    Attaglance

Progressive hurdler who quickened well back on sounder surface to take 19f handicap at MarketRasen last month. 9 lb rise to overcome in much harder race now.

    Toner D'Oudairies (FR)

Looked exciting prospect when taking Grade 3 at Fairyhouse last term and offered firstencouragement this season in 3m handicap last time. Step back in trip will suit and tongue tieback on.

    Open Hearted

Unbeaten when completing, landing bumper and 3 races over hurdles. Did it smoothly under thisrider at Fakenham (2m) last month and now makes handicap debut.

    Pateese (FR)

Justified strong support in 2m Sandown handicap on reappearance but been largelydisappointing since. Blinkers that he wore regularly on Flat in France now on for first time overhurdles.

    Arab League (IRE)

Taken well to hurdles for David Pipe, sprinting clear to win 2m Taunton handicap under thisrider in December. Presumably been kept fresh for this and merits respect.

Oscar Nominee (IRE)Chased home Cinders And Ashes in testing ground at Haydock in between his 2 victories overhurdles, landing the odds at Doncaster last month. Step up in trip will suit.

    Rigidity

Fine second to Raya Star in Ladbroke at Ascot in December but not been in same form in 2 runssince at Newbury, fading in tongue tie last time. Others make more appeal.

    Dan Breen (IRE)

Has some smart chase form and ran a screamer when just failing behind Aerial in 2m Grade 3handicap at Newbury last time. 8 lb lower back over hurdles and clearly on a fair mark.

    Like Minded

Lightly-raced hurdler who ran well behind Knight Pass at Kempton (21f) on Boxing Day. Beaten atodds on trying chasing since, and weighted right up to best here.

    Bourne

Useful stayer on Flat who took massive step forward on handicap debut over jumps when winningvaluable 19f contest at Ascot last month under this rider. More improvement forthcoming.

    Knight Pass (IRE)

Talented bumper performer who won 21f Kempton handicap hurdle on Boxing Day. Badlyhampered in Wednesday's Coral Cup but that was his third poor effort at Cheltenham.Cheekpieces reached for.

    Street Entertainer (IRE)

Successful twice last spring and back on mark he was third off in valuable Market Rasenhandicap in July. Return to better ground will suit and recent market support suggests a big run.

    Grandads Horse

Bumper winner who has taken well to hurdling, landing 19f Stratford handicap in October. Notseen since down the field in strong Grade 2 a month later. Yard in good form.

    Make a Track (IRE)

Unbeaten in bumpers and won 2m Gowran novice hurdle in December. Good effort behindCitizenship in valuable Leopardstown handicap last time and still unexposed over this trip.

    Ski Sunday

Tongue tie on for first time since winning 2m Kempton handicap hurdle early in 2011 when withLawney Hill. This season been a write off so far, though.

    Bocciani (GER)

Hard to knock his strike rate over hurdles/fences in the last year or so, winning 5 times in all at upto 2m. Fine effort behind unexposed sort at Doncaster last time but up another 7 lb.

    Changing Times (IRE)

Did well final 2 starts in Ireland for Oliver McKiernan, winning 2m maiden and novice hurdle atFairyhouse. Couldn't rule out for new yard if taking to sounder surface.

    Wolf Moon (IRE)

Did well over hurdles initially, winning 4 times in 2009/10. Solid efforts in defeat in handicaps overboth sets of obstacles this term but has career-high mark to overcome now.

    Gormanstown Cuckoo

Impressive winner of 3m Aintree handicap hurdle in October on final start for Colm Murphy. Formof that race has worked out and could have more to offer. Drop back in trip will suit.

    Art Professor (IRE)

Well treated on pick of his form and has good record at Cheltenham, but couple of labouredefforts to put behind him. Interesting if there's market support now he's blinkered.

    TIMEFORM SAYS...

    French Opera

Good Cheltenham record though wins last season came at Newbury and Sandown. Showed he'slost none of his ability even though no match for Sprinter Sacre on return in Grade 2 at Newburylast month.

Cornas (NZ)Proved himself as good as ever this term, placed in both the Haldon Gold Cup and the TingleCreek. Suspicion he'll prove vulnerable to better-handicapped rivals.

    Oiseau De Nuit (FR)

Won race last year under this jockey and several good efforts since without adding to thatsuccess, third to Finian's Rainbow in December. Sometimes let down by jumping, including lasttime.

    Tanks For That (IRE)

Front runner who won 2m handicap here on return and running another good race when falling 4out over C&D next time. Creditable third at Sandown latest, and Geraghty's pick of Hendersonrunners.

    Kid Cassidy (IRE)

Prominent racer who isn't yet fluent over fences, but has won both completed starts in smallfields, latest a Grade 2 novice at Doncaster. Has natural ability to feature off this mark.

    Astracad (FR)

Taken well to chasing and good efforts here last 2 starts, chasing home Al Ferof in Grade 2, andshowing likeable attitude when beating Rileyev in handicap here in December.

    Renard (FR)

Racked up a hat-trick in handicaps in November, and better than ever when returned to 2m atTaunton in January on latest start, winning by 6 lengths from Lord Singer.

    Kumbeshwar

Useful form all 5 starts over fences, successful at Hereford and Plumpton. Runner-up all otheroutings, in cheekpieces when behind Kid Cassidy at Doncaster latest and now tried blinkered.

    Toubab (FR)

Useful novice hurdler in 2010/11 and quickly reached that level over fences. Put Haydock fallbehind him when getting off mark in good style at Sandown last month and remains capable ofbetter.

    King Edmund

Game front runner who got back to winning ways at Ascot in December. Failed to reproduce thatin 2 starts since, including over hurdles on latest, and this a tough race in which to bounce backin.

    Slieveardagh (IRE)

Free-going sort who has taken well to fences. Gained third win when beating Donnas Palm 5lengths at Leopardstown earlier this month and fairly treated for chase handicap debut.

    Eradicate (IRE)

Very smart 2m hurdler who has won last 2 runnings of the Swinton. Done well over fences thisseason, winning 2 of his 4 starts, and has ground conditions in his favour.

    Tara Royal

Jumping often held him back over fences, but put it all together when winning convincingly atMusselburgh last month. Handicapper since had his say and this requires more.

    Bellvano (GER)

Raced only in novice company over fences so far, winning at Punchestown in May and Kelso onlatest start, never off bridle in latter. Capable of better and will appreciate likely strong gallop.

    Anquetta (IRE)

Jumped fluently when making a winning reappearance over 17f at Ascot in October. Fell firstback there next time, though, and disappointing effort only start since.

    Lucky William (IRE)

Gained second of 2 chase wins in Grade 3 novice at Punchestown in October, but limitationsexposed at a higher level since, well-held fourth behind Flemenstar in Irish Arkle last time.

    Ultimate

Made winning start over fences at Huntingdon in October. Back to that level when takinghandicap at Doncaster earlier this month, but has been disappointing on all 3 previous visits here.

    Free World (FR)

Left Paul Nicholls after disappointing 2010/11 and appreciated drop in grade when winning minorevent at Ballinrobe in August. Not gone on since and only mid-field back over hurdles last time.

    De Boitron (FR)

Hold-up performer who finished in frame in 2 good handicaps, including this one last spring. Backto that sort of form when third to Tara Royal at Musselburgh latest and remains handily treated.

    Idarah (USA)

Mixed hurdling/chasing well for this yard, winning over fences at Fairyhouse last April, and overhurdles at Naas in February. More needed here though from 2 lb out of weights.

    Norther Bay (FR)

Free-going front runner whose last win was a handicap chase (19f) at Listowel in June. Unseatedrider early on latest start over fences, and poor effort on Flat when last seen in November.
