SCHOOL CROSS COUNTRY RESULTS It was great to see most students taking part in their age level cross country race on what was a delightful Monday afternoon. All children who took part in the event earned a point for their faction towards the Cross-Country Shield, with the first four place getters receiving the following points and a place on the interschool team (1st - 5 points, 2nd - 3 points, 3rd - 2 points and 4th - 1 point). After the running of all the cross country races the Cross Country Shield Points were: Red = 87 Green = 111 Blue = 103. It was close, but once again well done to GREEN faction! Place ribbons will be handed out at next week’s assembly. The Hill’s Schools Interschool Cross Country will be held at the Mundaring Recreation Ground and Mundaring Golf Course on Friday 21st August which will involve Year 3 to 6 students. Permission notes will be sent home next week to the students who gained a 1st, 2nd, 3rd or 4th place, as well as the students who came 5th & 6th (as reserves) in each race. The table below lists the results for the first 6 places in each race. WAGSMS Concert Series is getting closer and the choir members are excited about performing in front of a packed house at the Crown Theatre. If you haven't bought your tickets yet, please visit www. ticketmaster.com.au and follow the links

to our concert night, Wednesday, 9 September, 2015.

Last week, all choir members took home a note explaining the WAGSMS procedure, which includes a consent form for the daytime rehearsal. This needs to be filled out and returned to school, along with $7 bus fare. The note also clearly explains the "Fun Performance Uniform." Please help your child prepare for this annual choir event, as they have all been working very hard towards this concert. We all look forward to performing our three songs for you.

Karina Reif-Eaves (Music Specialist)

All set for a great race at the Cross Country.
