    Sandgem Town

You'll spot Rowan's assistant upon arriving in Sandgem Town. You'll be escorted inside where

Rowan will assess your Pokemon, and allow you to keep it and name it. He'll ask you to help in

his research and will give you a Pokedex to record information on any Pokemon you encounter.Leave the laboratory and Rowan will give you TM27 - Return as a parting gift. His assistant will

show you the Pokemon Center, where you can heal your Pokemon and access your PC Storageboxes, as well as use Wifi and Wireless Functions, and the PokeMart, where you can purchase

useful items for the road ahead. Rowan's assistant will then leave for Route 202. You, however, need to head back to Twinleaf to pick up some things from Mom.

At home, you'll tell Mom of your big adventure ahead, and she'll give you the Journal key itemto record your activities. Your rival's Mom will also give you a package to deliver to him. That's

all for Twinleaf, so say your final goodbyes and head back to Route 202 to meet Rowan'sassistant.

On Route 202, you'll be given the traditional "How to catch a Pokemon" tutorial, and be awarded

five Pokeballs for participation. Follow the path to Jubilife City. You'll encounter some trainersalong the way, so don't be afraid to head back to Sandgem if you need to heal your Pokemon.

When you first arrive, you will be confronted by Prof. Rowan's assistant...again, who will talk

you further into the city. You'll notice a shifty character darting between some lamposts - this isthe Detective who you'll encounter many times in your journey. He'll hand you the Battle

After you defeat Jupiter, Team Galactic will disappear from Eterna City. The two Pokemon

you've rescued incidentally belong to the Bike Store Owner. Visit him at his shop just south ofthe Pokemon Center, and you'll run into Cynthia, who will give you a Togepi egg. If you do not

have enough room in your party, you will need to deposit a Pokemon in the Pokemon Center PC.Cynthia will leave, so enter the Bike Shop and the owner will thank you by giving you a free

bike. The bike has two modes which you can toggle by pressing B while riding it. The speedmode lets you race up mud slides, and you will need this to proceed.

Heading east from Eterna City takes you to Mt Coronet, but you can't advance further in that

direction. You'll have to take Cycling Road back to Oreburgh City, so head south onto Route206. At the gatehouse, you'll see one of Professor Rowan's aides, who will give you an Exp

Share if you have seen at least 35 Pokemon.

    The Road to Mt Coronet

You must mount your bike before exiting the gatehouse, or the guards won't let you pass. Follow

Cycling Road until its end near Oreburgh City. You'll encounter many trainers along the way.Below, you'll see the grassy plains of Route 206. At the other end, exit the gatehouse and use Cut

    - Stable Mulch extends the time berries will stay on the plant before falling off- Gooey Mulch restores soil where plants have withered

As you enter Hearthome City, a stray Buneary will run into you, with its trainer not far behind it.

She'll thank you for catching her Buneary and suggest that you drop by the Pokemon Contest

Hall. Head there now and you'll find her talking to your Mom. Both women will talk to you

about contests, and then leave. Talk to the woman dressed in purple, and she will reveal herselfto be Fantina, Hearthome City's Gym Leader. She'll head to her gym where you can challengeher for the Relic Badge. This is different from Diamond and Pearl, where you must earn the

Cobble and Fen Badges before challenging Fantina.

There's a couple of things you can do around the city. Visit the house next to the PokemonCenter. This is home to Bebe, the Sinnoh Administrator for the Box System. If you have a spare

slot in your team, you can grab an Eevee off her. From now on, her name will appear instead of"Someone's PC" whenever you access the box storage system.

Inside the house to the east of the PokeMart, talk to the elderly gentleman who is the head of the

Pokemon Fan Club. After listening to his rambles, he'll give you a Poffin Case, which can beused to store Poffin you bake from berries. This can be done in the Poffin House, which is the

house to the west of the PokeMart.

You can also visit Amity Square, which is a park for certain cute Pokemon like Drifloon,

Pikachu, Psyduck and Clefairy. There are two entrances, both on the north sides of the city. Eachentrance leads to a different area inside Amity Square - note this is different from Diamond and

Pearl. Inside, your Pokemon may pick up some fashion accessories or some berries. You can alsohead in to get some items like TM43 - Secret Power, TM45 - Attract and an Amulet Coin. You'll

also notice that the clay houses will transport you to another part of Amity Square, somethingthey didn't do in Diamond and Pearl.

When you are ready, head to the gym. You will notice it has a completely different layout from

Diamond and Pearl. The idea is to find the pattern on the blue tile, then enter the door with thecorresponding pattern on a red tile. However, the room is dark and the only source of

illumination is your flashlight and the eyes on the Duskull Lamps. Note that the pattern willchange each time you enter the room! If you head through the wrong door, you'll find yourself

back at the beginning, so it's in your best interest to get it right. Here's a look at a sample roomwith all the lights turned on:

The entrance to the lake is currently blocked by two

back for more battles. There are also several itemsaround the place, and you can earn a few more byhelping the lady who's lost her room key. Head to the

back door of the hotel reception and use the DowsingMachine on your Poketch. It should register a hidden

item nearby - this is the missing key. Return it to thelady and she'll give you a White Flute.

The man inside the hotel reception will heal your

Pokemon if they're a bit wounded from the battles atthe restaurant. Ohterwise the road east is conveniently

out because of a power cut in Sunyshore City, so theonly way remaining is to head south onto Route 213.

The house on the beach is home to Mr. Footprint, whowill award you the Footprint Ribbon if your

Pastoria City is home to the Great Marsh, a Safari Zone of sorts where you pay a fee and have a

limited amount of time to catch as many Pokemon as you can. The layout has been changedslightly from Diamond and Pearl, as well as some aesthetics, and HM05 - Defog has been shifted

to Solaceon Ruins. Have a go at catching some Pokemon, and when you're done, head to theGym. Your rival will show up and battle you. There have been a few sparse moveset changes to

Continue north, and as you pass a block of trees, stick to the west side of the route. You should

reach a house with a lone Hiker inside. He'll explain that he's lost his HM, so go outside and pick

it up for him (it's at the back of his out). Return it to him and he'll let you keep it, as well as giveyou an Icicle Plate for your honesty. Continue north and if you stick to the east side, you'll see a

house where a girl inside will give you a Spell Tag. Just north of this house is Ice Rock, whereyou can level up an Eevee and it will evolve into a Glaceon. Just north from here is Acuity

Close Combat becomes useful, but this can be risky since Staraptor is also weak to Ice and CloseCombat obviously won't work against Froslass. Note that Sneasel is 4x weak to Fighting and

Abomasnow is 4x weak to Fire - exploit these to your own advantage.

After you defeat Candice, you will be awarded the Icicle Badge, which will allow you to use

    Hypnosis

A point of reassurance: your rival will heal your Pokemon completely after this battle, so give it

all you've got. This battle can be extremely difficult since your rival's choices tend to be rathermisfortunate at times, so it means you're basically battling both Pokemon by yourself. On the

brightside, he can be used as a punching bag to absorb the opponents' attacks. Be careful ofBronzor and Golbat's Confuse Rays, and Skuntank's Smokescreen - you don't want to be putting

things up to chance. Hope that both Bronzor don't manage to get Light Screen and Reflect up.They both have Levitate, so stick with Fire-type attacks. The best strategy is to concentrate on

one Pokemon until one trainer is defeated, then focus on the other.

When the battle is over, your rival will heal your Pokemon and leave. Cyrus will then attempt touse the power he extracted from Azelf, Mesprit and Uxie. Dialga and Palkia will both be

summoned, causing Giratina to emerge from the Distortion World. As Cyrus disappears, you'llsee Cynthia rush up to Spear Pillar with you. When you're ready, enter the vortex.

    The Distortion World

  • 8/8/2019 Cheat Platinum

    61/117

You can freely enter and leave the Distortion World through the portal. Follow Cynthia as she

walks across some pretty trippy terrains. Jump the ledge to where she's standing and walk on topof the sunken patch to activate the elevator. For future reference, these sunken patches will

usually invoke some kind of action on the platform you're on. At the bottom, follow her acrossthe floating islands and proceed. You'll see Mesprit appear, so continue left and the camera will

change as you fly onto the wall.

When you reach the elevator with two rocks on it, activate its movement by standing on thesunken patch in the middle, then proceed to the top patch of the next platform, then the left patch

on the one after that. You'll fly onto the wall where Cynthia is waiting. The other sunken patcheswill move the platform, but they lead to dead ends.

  • 8/8/2019 Cheat Platinum

Continue right as far as you can, then down and left when you reach a new set of movingplatforms. Take the top patches on the next two platforms, and you'll descend onto another level.

Head right and you'll end up on a platform with three rocks. Activate the center patch to descendlower, and then head down and a magic platform will appear.

Cyrus will meet you briefly here. The platforms you're on now have another trick: the sunkenpatches will make visible platforms disappear and make invisible platforms appear. From where

you are, head down, right and up and you'll make a platform appear. Cross the platform and takethe path leading down, just to your right. Cross it and continue right until you reach a platform

with five rocks on it. Activate it and cross the floating platforms to your left. You'll meet Uxiesoon after.

Jump the ledge and use Strength on the boulder there. Push it down and it'll fall into the level

below. Head down and hop onto the elevator, but don't use it quite yet. Head left and Mespritwill appear and motion for you to drop the boulder there into the chasm below. You can't head

back because of the ledges, so head down and take the elevator with five rocks on it and it'llascend to the level above. Head left and you'll end up on a platform with disappearing objects, so

make your way through that by sticking to the outside of the platform.

Hop onto the elevator with four rocks (you'll see Cyrus to the right) and it'll take you back to the

area with the magic platforms. From the elevator, hop across and head down and right ontoanother elevator, this time with four rocks on it. This will take you to where Cyrus is. Continue

onwards and Giratina will buzz past. Head onto the wall and the camera will change. Continueupwards and you'll fly upside down! Surf up...or down...or whatever...the waterfall and you'll

end up on the right part of the level where Uxie and Mesprit were. Drop the boulder there intothe gap as Azelf appears, then head left and take the elevator down.

When the elevator stops moving, head up and use Strength on the boulder, and drop it into the

hole next to where Uxie is floating. Head to the left part of the level where Mesprit is. Again, useStrength and drop the boulder into the hole next to Mesprit. Finally, head to the right part of the

level and repeat for Azelf. Talk to Cynthia on the bottom part of the level, and an elevator willappear that will take you to where Cyrus is waiting. Talk to him, and he'll battle you.

Hopefully you've trained your Pokemon to a decent level prior to this battle. Staraptor's CloseCombat should take out Houndoom and Weavile, while an Electric type can take out

Honchkrow, Crobat and Gyarados. As you can see from the movesets, there are several statusinducing moves like Toxic and Will-O-Wisp that can be very annoying if they're inflicted.

Weavile is extremely quick and can sweep your team if you don't have the right defenses.
