Invite a co-worker to hear about this very practical topic. Kelly McCoy needs your gift card donations or money to buy gift cards for our annual No Dirty Dishesfundraiser. Everyone should have received tickets to sell. Our April meeting will be a little different in that we will not have the regular Tuesday night meeting. This is because we have two phenomenal speakers lined up for our Spring Regional Forum that Chattanooga is hosting. You do not want to miss this. Really. You dont. Please do whatever you can to attend on Saturday, April 30 th . Charlie has mailed out all the details on this, so check it out. Ask questions if you dont understand something. Our May meeting is also very special because it will be on the Southern Belle. Bring your mom, sister, daughter, kids, father, husband, son – any family member and enjoy this cruise with one of our member firms. Sarrie has worked out a deal where we pay the same price as our regular meeting dues (and children are discounted). Dont forget your opportunity to earn creditstoward your leadership certificate this year by listening to the monthly webinar, attending the monthly chapter meeting or board meeting, and getting involved in a committee. Deputy Chief, David Roddy with the Chattanooga Police Department will share his

stories of

What’s Going on in Chattanooga and tips for us to be “Street Smart”.

Deputy Chief David Roddy was born and raised in Chattanooga, graduated from Tyner High School, received a bachelor’s

degree in Criminal Justice Administration from Middle Tennessee State University and a graduate of the F.B.I. National

Academy.

He has been a member of the Chattanooga Police Department since 1995 and has held positions ranging from patrol, patrol

supervisor, street crimes investigator, gang investigator, special operations commander, SWAT commander, patrol sector

commander and most recently, the internal affairs commander, Chief of Staff and Deputy Chief.

He is a 19-year veteran of the department and holds a bachelor's of science in Criminal Justice Administration and is a

graduate of the FBI National Academy Session 235. He is a graduate of the Leadership of Chattanooga program for 2011.

Chief Roddy has provided training in firearms, entry techniques, woodland operations, waterborne operations, less lethal

munitions, linear assaults, leadership, organizational management, and terrorism.

David has been a speaker at national law enforcement conferences as well as a consultant for several product and training

companies across the United States. He has written articles that have been featured in The Firearms Instructor (IALEFI), The

Tactical Edge (NTOA) and the Tennessee Tactical Police and Paramedics Association periodical.

Chief Fred Fletcher has been quoted saying “I am absolutely confident in his ability to run the day-to-day operations of the

Chattanooga Police Department and to serve and lead the CPD as we work to keep our community safe.”
