Congratulations to our Conference Champion Men's Soccer team, and both the Women's Lacrosse and Men's Lacrosse teams for qualifying for the NCHSAA State Playoffs that begin this week. We also have 5 programs officially starting their season this week. This is a busy week ahead for SABRENATION Athletics, so be sure to download the VarsityTix app and check throughout the week of ticketing information keeping in mind most events will be streamed live on the NFHS Network.

Seniors – Class of 2021Cap & Gowns must be ordered for Graduation 2021 by tomorrow, March 15th.   Please go to www.southernrecognition.com to order and don’t forget cap & gowns from older siblings or friends in previous years cannot be worn because the design is completely different from our new vendor.  Graduation is scheduled for June 3rd at 7pm and all graduates must wear their cap & gown.  If you need financial assistance, please email Ms. Rachel Padrick, Director of Student Services.

Sabre SAILWe are excited to announce Sabres SAIL, an amazing opportunity for any student in need of additional support.  That’s right, any student regardless of the course or grade is eligible for support!  Each Tuesday and Thursday from 4-7pm in the Media Center and the Mall, in-person/on-site academic and social/emotional support is available by a team of South Meck staff.  No appointment needed just show up.  All safety protocols will be followed. Visit our social media pages for additional information. 

Rotation ChangesAs most know, CMS has collapsed Rotation C into either Rotation A or Rotation B, meaning all in-person learners are either in Rotation A or Rotation B.  Rotation A students will report on Monday and Tuesday, and Rotation B students will report on Thursday and Friday.  Wednesday is remote learning for all students.  The new schedule is available on social media and our school website.  Yes it’s a little confusing so be sure to print or save in a safe place.  Remember to bring your brand-new Chromebook and student ID each day, they both are needed.

On Campus ParkingOn-Campus parking is available for eligible students in Rotation A and Rotation B, grades 10th through 12th.  Only students with a valid parking permit are permitted to park on campus in their designated location.  Early release students must park in the gravel lot and all other students must park in the upper lot.  Students parked illegally on-campus, within the local neighborhoods, and even Harris Teeter will be ticket and/or towed.  If you don’t have a space and need one, apply online today!

Homecoming 2021No, we will not have Prom this year, but we are turning all the way up for Homecoming 2021 which will be celebrated on April 1st.  This year, we will crown both a Queen and King in our condensed Homecoming Celebration.  Nominate close tonight at 11:59pm…visit our social media pages for additional information. 

ACT & SAT Test CenterWe are pleased to announce South Meck is now a testing center for the ACT and SAT.  Visit the www.collegeboard.com for registration information for both the ACT and SAT.

South Meck Hall of FameWe need your help…spread the word and submit a nomination for the South Meck Hall of Fame.  South Meck has a very proud history and legacy so assist us in nominating alumni or friend of South Meck or the Hall of Fame.  The deadline to

Attention Seniors - South Meck Sports Boosters ScholarshipThe South Meck Sports Boosters will be providing four scholarships to qualified student athletes. Two senior male athletes and two senior female athletes will each receive a $250 scholarship.
