Why?
How it started.
In Europe there were the Scandinavian
Rally and Rally Charlemagne.
Rally Charlemagne is an idea of Anne
Lebeau the 1st IIW President of Belgium
(1980)
At that time she wanted to have a meeting
with the countries of central Europe where
IW was active, at that time Belgium (+
Luxembourg), Netherlands, France,
Germany, Italy, Switzerland as Districted
countries. These countries have all been
part of the reign of Charles The Great.
That gives the name.
Later the non districted country of Austria
joined.

Rally 2019
At that time the next Rally Charlemagne was
planned in Rotterdam in September 2019, and
the friends from the Netherlands followed the
idea and organized the first European Rally,
with a symposium about “Move to connect”
At that symposium I have to promote a
European idea and I launched the
“European Platform”
