CCSD has developed a centralized clearinghouse to coordinate partners that meet with students at schoolon a regular, ongoing basis (e.g., daily, weekly).

Benefits of the Clearinghouse:• Provide a directory of organizations• Match schools’ needs with organizations’ services• Identify opportunities for organizations’ collaboration (e.g., mentoring)• Avoid duplication of services in a school• Celebrate organizations’ contributions

Things to Consider - before saying “Yes” and inviting a partner into your school:• Respect the school day.

Can a partner meet with students before school, after school, on weekends, summer?

• Protect instructional time.Is scheduling based on time(s) that do not interrupt student learning?

• Be strategic. Is there a match between partner's services and students’ needs?

• Be high-quality.Will time that students spend with a partner boost academic or non-academic performance more than thetime that they could have spent with school staff?

It’s okay to say “No.” If an organization tells you that they have been “approved,” that doesn’t mean thatthey are a good fit for your school. If in doubt, please contact:

CCSD Office of Strategy & CommunicationsAlicia [email protected]

Partnerships Point-of-Contact: Each school should assign a Partnerships Coordinator (e.g., school counselor, assistant principal) to serve asyour single point-of-contact for all organizations coming into your school.

BOTTOM LINE Our goal is to be strategic with every minute that students spend at school. We want to ensure that eachstudent is getting the specific services that he/she needs to boost his/her academic and non-academicperformance. We want to schedule the right services for the right children at the right time in the day for theright duration.
