Daily Practice Activities

Practice the following each day (Monday- Friday):

• Read at least 5-10 minutes (Note: The book does not need to be finished each time. Leave room for

anticipation!) Circle the icon on the Daily Activity Calendar after reading each day.

Sample questions can include:

o Look at the picture. What do you think is going to happen next?

o What is that a picture of?

o What was your favorite part of the story?

• Recite the letters of the alphabet while pointing to each letter (chart attached)

• Count to at least 10 (go further if your child is able)

o Choose one number to focus on throughout the day. Complete one of the number sheets for the focus

number. Have your child practice counting items in your home based on the selected number.

• Review colors (attached)

• Review shapes – Complete the shape activity sheets at your leisure within the 6-week window.

• Review letters in your child’s name by pointing to the letters as well as asking your child to identify the letters

out of order (attached)

• Build gross motor skills with activities such as hopping, jumping, skipping, throwing, and catching

• Remember to practice snapping, buttoning and zipping clothing items

• Cut out the letters, numbers, and charts on pages 37-60. Keep the sorting mats, letters, numbers, and

manipulatives in a sandwich bag so that they can be used for other calendar activities.

• Please keep all completed activities in a safe place.

*Note – If you do not have a printed copy of the document, please use a blank piece of paper for tracing activities.

Actividades de Práctica Diaria

Practique lo siguiente cada día (De lunes a viernes):

• Lea al menos de 5-10 minutos (Nota: no es necesario que termine de leer el libro cada vez. ¡Deje lugar a la

expectativa!) Encierre en un círculo el ícono en el Calendario de Actividades Diarias después de leer

cada día.
