Participating businesses will receive a vendor space in the Taste of Charles County tent, two eight-foot tables, two folding chairs, pre-event marketing, and day-of-event promotion at no cost. Vendors should provide tasting- sized portions of two to five menu items and to price them at $1, $2, or $3. Guests will purchase food and drink tick- ets at $1 each and use those tickets to “purchase” your goods. At the end of the event you will turn in all collected tickets to receive a $1 reimbursement per ticket. Vendors should plan to decorate their space to reflect their business and are encouraged to bring menus and coupons for guests to take with them. e Charles County Department of Health does not require yearly permit holders to pay a fee to participate as a Temporary Food Vendor; however, submial of an application is required. Following a review, which will involve a phone interview at minimum, a leer approving operation at the event will be issued. Such a leer should be posted in lieu of a temporary license. Please allow at least two weeks for this process. Non-yearly permit holders are re- quired to pay appropriate fees and apply for a Temporary Food Establishment License. All forms are available on the Charles County Department of Health website at www.charlescountyhealth.org. Event Date: Wednesday, July 4, 2012“Taste of” Event Time: 4:30 – 7:30 p.m.Location: Regency Furniture Stadium

The Vendor agrees to each and all clauses set forth in this agree-ment. Failure by the Vendor to abide by any clauses set forth in this agreement of the Taste of Charles County gives Charles County (hereinafter “County”), and/or the authorized agents of the County, the right to immediately terminate this agreement and require the Vendor, immediately upon notice of violation of this agreement, to cease operations and vacate the premises. No clauses of this agreement may be changed in any way, or altered without the written, signed permission of the County.

Charles County agrees to provide each Vendor with a space under the Taste of Charles County tent, as well as two 8 foot tables, and two folding chairs. In the event the Vendor fails to appear at the event and claim their reserved space by 3:30pm on Wednesday, July 4, 2012, the County reserves the right to as-sign such space to another prospective vendor without further notice to the undersigned Vendor. If it appears, or it is necessary, for the Vendor to arrive later than the time noted above, it is the Vendor’s responsibility to notify and make arrangements with Rachel Reynolds at 301-645-0601 or [email protected] prior to the event or 301-653-1753 the day of the event.

Vendor agrees to provide all material for food service with the exception of plastic tableware, which is to be provided by the County. All food service equipment must comply with the Charles County Department of Health’s Temporary Food Establishment’s requirements. There will be no power at the Taste of Charles County, please plan your menu accordingly.

Vendor agrees to meet all Temporary Food Establishment re-quirements as stated by the Charles County Department of Health, including:

• Providing a dishwashing station, which may consist of three large dishwashing bins labeled: Wash, Rinse, and Sanitize, as well as appropriate dishwashing chemicals and materials.

• Providing a handwashing station, which may consist of a bucket, cooler, or container with a turn-spout that allows water to run over hands, a catch bucket to catch wastewater, paper towels, and soap.

• Hot/cold holding equipment and thermometers

• A method of protecting food from contamination

• Hair restraints

• Flooring – mats, coverings, boards, etc.

Vendors are permitted to bring: • one additional table (up to 8 feet in length),

• decorations for vendor space, and

• marketing collateral for guests (which may only be distrib-uted within the confines of the assigned vendor space).

Vendor agrees to obey all rules and instructions as directed by the Taste of Charles County Coordinators during the event. Any failure to strictly adhere to such instructions may result in the immediate termination of this agreement.

Vendors may not begin breaking down space until 7:30 p.m.

Vendor agrees and acknowledges that household pets and am-plified sound within or around your designated space is strictly prohibited. Any violation herein shall be considered a material breach of this agreement by the Vendor and shall result in ter-mination of this agreement.

Vendor agrees and acknowledges abiding by all directions by the County and facility which seeks to protect the environment and infrastructure of Regency Furniture Stadium and the safety of event patrons.

The County makes no representation or guarantees towards actual event attendance.

Vendor understands that the County has no control over weather, acts of God, acts of terrorism, governmental interven-tion, or any other cause that may prevent and alter or interrupt the event. Participants shall hold the County harmless for any losses that could arise because of such event.

County will assign vendor spaces on a first come, first serve basis.

Upon vacating their space, Vendors will ensure that said space shall be free of any and all trash or refuse with such being placed in the appropriate containers. Failure of Vendor to clean their space may result in the future denial of vendor participation.

I understand that exhibit space is avail-able on a first-come, first-served basis, and that completion of this form does not guarantee that space will be available.
