Jubilee Year Conference:

Celebrate the Holy Spirit!

Spread the word with all our groups that we want people to register by March 8 so we have an idea of num-

bers for meals, name tags, conference booklets, etc. People can register at the door, but it is an extra

$10.00. Please register my March 8, if possible. This really helps us.

Have you seen Ralph Martin’s invitation to our conference on our web page (www.cccrsa.net)? Take a look.

Ralph Martin has been a very significant leader for Charismatic Renewal since the beginning. He helped

start the International Office for Charismatic Renewal. He is on Pope Francis’ Committee on the New Evan-

gelization. He travels around the world with Renewal Ministries; has been on EWTN for many years; teaches

at the seminary in Detroit; and has written many books and pamphlets.

Special graces are poured out on us by God in Jubilee Years, so do not miss this year’s conference. Most of

us will not be around in 50 years to go to the next Jubilee conference, so do not miss this one! It is worth the

extra cost. It will be a great time together sharing song and praise, great teaching, meals, Mass with the

Archbishop, and a powerful time to be renewed in the Holy Spirit. Let us celebrate! Let us celebrate! Let us

celebrate the Holy Spirit!

April 22, 2017 Night of Renewal led by the Brothers of the Beloved Disciple: Continuing the

Jubilee Year! How Should This Year Be Making a Difference.

St. Mary Magdalen Hall at 7:00 pm. Fr. Bob Hogan, Fr. Will Combs, BBD, Fr. George Montague, Bro. Sean,

Bro. Gabe, Bro. Ruben, and Fr. John Francis will lead us in a special evening half way between our March 18

conference and Pentecost Sunday, June 4. We will continue to celebrate this Jubilee Year of Charismatic

Renewal, as we learn how this year can be powerful for our personal growth, for our Archdiocese, for parish-

es, and for Charismatic Renewal.

May 11-14 Shalom Retreat in San Antonio: Thursday 2:00pm to Sunday 4:00pm.

A retreat that will shine the light of Christ into your heart and lead you to Forgiveness, Freedom and Healing.

Fr. George from India with a strong healing ministry, Fr. Bob Hogan, BBD and others will be leading the re-

May 27: Keep this date open for a special training program at CCCR as we prepare for Pente-

cost (June 4). More information will be coming.

JUBILEE YEAR DEVELOPMENT CAMPAIGN

We rejoice in this time of Jubilee! We seek to be faithful to the Lord’s calling for

the Charismatic Center. We ask you to be good stewards with us. We need your sup-

port to keep open the Center’s building at the St. Henry Church property, and to con-

tinue to develop Charismatic Renewal as we enter into the excitement and graces of

this Jubilee Year (50th Anniversary). We are called by Pope Francis to promote the

role of the Holy Spirit in the Church. Archbishop Gustavo supports this calling. The

Center supports 50 Spanish and English prayer groups (10 groups use the Center).

We offer nights of renewal in English/Spanish; a yearly conference; leadership train-

ing; prayer ministry training; Life in the Spirit Seminars; Youth Ministry; spiritual gifts

workshops; parish missions; educational programs; healing retreats; programs for

parishes, etc.

The rent we pay to St. Henry’s has more than doubled in the last few years. Our

annual operating budget is over $65,000.00 a year. The Center is a very old build-

ing. It needs roof repairs, window replacements, new tiles, renovations in the bath-

rooms, replacing carpets, etc. We do not have the money to do these repairs at this

time. We will have to cut back on our office hours and services if we do not have

your support in reaching our goal of $70,000.00 for the 2017 Campaign. We would

also have to consider closing the Center at St. Henry’s if we do not have more financ-

es for repairs and basic costs. We are blessed to have a building that has good

space. Unless a major donor comes forward, it is unlikely that we could find an af-

fordable place with as much space as we have now.

We ask you to give thanks to God for the ways that Charismatic Renewal has

touched your life, and prayerfully consider giving a major gift for the Center during

2017. I, am paid only $5,000 as director of the Center. Someone could give a gift of

$5,000 to cover my salary for a year. Someone could give a gift for the repair of our

windows, or the renovation of the bathrooms, or the replacement of carpets and

tiles, or $1,000 to cover one month of our rent, or cover the costs for our copying

machines, or to support or youth and young adult outreach, or for the cleaning and

upkeep of the building. We can also use volunteers to oversee the cleaning of cer-

tain areas of the Center.

Please look at the back of this sheet in deciding how you can support the Center.

Every donation is a blessing. We can only do this if we stay united in the Spirit and

work together. We believe that the gifts you give in this Jubilee Year will be multiplied

as blessings for you, your family, and the Church. Thank you for your support.

CAMPAÑA DE DESARROLLO DEL AÑO DE JUBILEO

¡Nos regocijamos en este tiempo de Jubileo! Queremos ser fieles al llamado del Señor pa-

ra el centro carismático. Les pedimos ser buenos administradores con noso-

tros. Necesitamos su apoyo para mantener abierta la construcción del centro en la propie-

dad de la iglesia St. Henry y continuar desarrollando la renovación carismática al entrar en

la emoción y la gracia de este año jubilar (50thaniversario). Estamos llamados por el Papa

Francisco para promover el papel del Espíritu Santo en la iglesia. El arzobispo Gustavo apo-

ya este llamado. El centro apoya 50 grupos de oración en español y en inglés (10 grupos

utilizan el centro). Ofrecemos noches de renovación en Español; una conferencia

anual; capacitación para el liderazgo; formación en Ministerio de oración; seminarios de

Vida en el Espíritu; Ministerio de la juventud; talleres de dones espirituales; misiones de la

parroquia; programas educativos; retiros curativos; programas para las parroquias, etc..

El alquiler que pagamos a la iglesia de San Enrique se ha más que duplicado en los últi-

mos años. Nuestro presupuesto anual está sobre $65.000,00 al año. El centro es un edifi-

cio muy antiguo. Necesita reparaciones de techo, reemplazos de ventanas, azulejos nue-

vos, renovaciones en los baños, reemplazo de alfombras, etc. No tenemos el dinero para

hacer estas reparaciones en este momento. Tendremos que reducir nuestras horas de ofici-

na y servicios si no tenemos su apoyo para alcanzar nuestra meta de $70.000,00 para la

campaña de 2017. También tendríamos que considerar cerrar el centro de San Enrique si

no tenemos más finanzas para reparaciones y los gastos básicos. Somos bendecidos en te-

ner un edificio que tiene buen espacio. A menos que un donante importante venga hacia

adelante, es poco probable que podríamos encontrar un lugar asequible con tanto espacio

como el que tenemos ahora.

Le doy gracias a Dios por las maneras en que la renovación carismática ha tocado tu vi-

da y espero que consideres regalar algo importante para el centro en 2017. Yo, eoy pagado

solamente $5,000 como director del centro. Alguien podría dar un regalo de $5,000 para

cubrir mi sueldo durante un año. Alguien podría dar un regalo para la reparación de nues-

tras ventanas, o la renovación de los baños, o el reemplazo de alfombras y baldosas o

$1,000 para cubrir un mes de nuestro alquiler, o cubrir los gastos para nuestras máquinas

de copiado o para apoyo sobre el alcance hacia jóvenes adultos, o para la limpieza y el

mantenimiento del edificio. También podemos utilizar a voluntarios para supervisar la lim-

pieza de ciertas áreas del centro.

MISSION STATEMENT

The Mission of the Charisletter is to serve and be a voice for the Catholic Center for Charismatic Renewal whose mission is to highlight the role of the Holy Spirit in the Archdiocese of San Antonio. We do this by describing up-coming events and publishing articles that will instruct and inspire the faith-ful for a more intimate relationship with the Holy Spirit. We emphasize the importance of:

U Understanding the charisms of the Holy Spirit (spiritual gifts).

N Needing to create a lifestyle exemplified by the use of the charisms.

I Initiating and promoting efforts within the church to understand

the use of charisms as an essential aspect of the life of the church.

T Teaching the faithful about the charismatic foundations of Catholicism.

Y Yielding to the Holy Spirit who creates a culture of unity through

obedience rooted in love.
