Character Bibles for 4 Inversions - Eric Euchler



1) Biography-

Name-Lazarus (Laz) Echo

Age- appears to be 26, but could be much older.

Gender-Male

Race-Cambion (human and demon hybrid,) has a Caucasian appearance.

Eye color-Green

Hair Color-Light Brown

Education-n/a

Position- Inverted Freedom of Speech

Affiliates-The Chaote (Main antagonist) - Is responsible for summoning Laz to the physical world. Due to

this Laz is in debt to him. He’s so grateful that he’s not at all perturbed by in effect being the Chaote’s

slave.

-Minions- can “convince” non-willful civilians to complete task for him through various manners

of speaking. This usually has the appearance of holding his palms directly against the person’s

ears.

2) Archetype

-Laz Echo is the first of the four bosses, the Inverted Freedoms that the player faces. He was summoned

as to act as an opposite of the freedom of speech (the ideal from F.D.R.’s Four Freedoms speech andNorman Rockwell’s accompanying paintings.) As a cambion, his appearance comes close to that of a

normal human’s. His only difference is the absence of having a mouth on his face, which he conceals

under a scarf. Instead he has mouths on each of the palms of his hands, through which he can

communicate and has other supernatural powers.

Since his most recent return to earth, Laz has become obsessed with the local culture. Specifically he

loves all aspects of what is considered “cool.” While not fulfilling the requirements of his stay on earth,

he will often spend his time at small concerts or college parties. This has become first priority to him,

making him non-confrontational, unless threatened with banishment back to hell.

Hell isn't pleasant for anyone there. When confronted with banishment Laz loses his cool

demeanor, instead panicking and fighting back relentlessly but without his usual calculating

methods.

His Always the individual he hates being confronted with his human heritage, which he think



heritage make him weak, or his demonic side, which he thinks is outdated and ignorant.

Outspoken

People

He believes people with strong opinions somehow diminish his own individualism. Also he

isn't capable of controlling such people. In reaction to these he uses his abilities to steal

their voices, permanently silencing them.

5) Actions-

Animation Description

Idle He may mock the player my making hand puppets and speaking though it as the voice of

a victim.

Walk When walking, he always conceals his hands behind his back. In part so as to look non

sealant, but also to prepare for a vocal attack if need be.

Run When chased he uses a variation of typical parkour, only does not use his hands. This

results in a lot of wall running and sliding.

Combat Through his hand-mouths he is capable of "crying" loud enough to push against, or high

enough to cut through his intended targets. When cornered, he will resort to biting with

his hand-mouths. This is when he is most vulnerable as it exposes his wrist-throats.Habits In stressful situations he will often smoke. This is visually interesting as the mouth

through which he inhales, and the hand holding the cigarette are effectivly the same.

Fairly indifferent, until Lees threatens to banish him back to hell. At this point he is

both hateful and terrified of him.

The Chaote Apreciative of being on earth, Laz will do anything the Chaote wants, as long as it

doesn't put his stay here at risk.The Duke Is too young to be familiar with the Duke's reputation.

Sees himself as too much of a loner to really care about the other entities working

for the Chaote.

7) Dreams and Ambitions- Laz would love to be famous rock star, utilizing his voice talents to become

the modern cultural equivalent of an idolized god.



1) Biography-

Name- Raguel

Age- appears to be 23, but is much older.

Gender-Female

Race- Grigori (Fallen Angel)

Eye color-Blue

Hair Color-Red

Education- n/a

Position- Inverted Freedom of Religion, Angel of Vengeance, former arch angel

Affiliates-The Chaote (Main antagonist) - Convinced her that one way to earn her Archangel title back

was to fulfill her old role in excess. This role is to enact revenge in the name of God. Grateful for this, shedoesn't take vengeance on him, but is obviously uncomfortable when given orders.

-Minions- Has several immortal children fathered by humans called Nephilim. These then acts as

her soldiers and guards. They are not cared for but only a helpful means.

2) Archetype

-Raguel is the second of the four bosses, the Inverted Freedoms that the player faces. She was

summoned as to act as an opposite of the freedom of religion (the ideal from F.D.R.’s Four Freedoms

speech and Norman Rockwell’s accompanying paintings.) Her appearance is pretty ordinary for a

supernatural being. This illusion is only broken on occasion, when the shadow of her wings can be seen,

the wings themselves incomprehensible to humans and aren't visible.

Despite being an archangel in title, she is almost entirely forgotten about and has only a fraction of the

power that the title should include. She now attributes this to having been been ignoring her duty of

enacting gods vengeance, and think making up for lost time might get her back in his good graces.

Truly she only has love, or any positive feeling, for God. Sadly her time being inactive on earth has made

her believe hating everything else is the same thing. She now uses her new re-acceptance of her old

mission of vengeance as a justification to take this growing hatred out on humanity

Having once lived in heaven, any other experience is torturous in comparison.

God's disapproval Not knowing the cause of her exile to earth has left her hopes of redemption. If God

passed a direct judgment instead, this last hope would be destroyed.



Human flaw Because of her growing hate and jealousy of humanity, and he reprisal of vengeance,

he has begun enacting murders against those who she views as offending God, or

mistreating what he created.

Idle Tosses a knife in the air repeatedly

Walk She is on guard with a blade in each hand. These she can generate at will so the type can

vary.

Run She has no need to run. She is capable of going through any door and coming out the

one she wants to.

Combat She prefers close-combat. As such she will attempt to come from behind to attack with a

knife or sword. If the player is positioned in a corner her tactic may change to throwing

knives

Habits She is relentless in completing her renewed mission, so rarely exudes habits unrelated to

it.

Sees him as a just man, and will try and convince him of her mission rather than

simply kill him.

The Chaote Is annoyed by how little even she knows about him, and by the few times he will

give direct orders, but is grateful for giving her new hop and a purpose.

The Duke Feels a kinship with him as the both exist dependent on belief from humans, and his

retirement from magic means there is no reason he would be on her hit list.Other Inverted

Thinks they are affronts to God and would kill any of them if given the opportunity.

She kills Lazarus so as to stop him from revealing information to Lees and Duke.

7) Dreams and Ambitions-She only wants to gain God's forgiveness and once again reside in heaven.

Age- appears to be 35, but is much older.

Gender-Male

Race-Djinn (mistakenly called jinnie) but has a African American appearance.

Eye color-Black

Hair Color-Black

Education-

Position- Inverted Freedom of From Want

Affiliates-The Chaote (Main antagonist) - Set Meka free from the lamp he was trapped in. By modern

day rules this means Meka must obey him until his three wishes are up.

-Minions-Being extremely old Djinn, Meka is capable of using wordplay to change wishes to

have the meaning he wants. When granted sometimes he kills the wisher, but sometimes he

changes them in a variety of ways so as to work for him.

2) Archetype

-Meka is the third of the four bosses, the Inverted Freedoms that the player faces. He was summoned as

to act as an opposite of the freedom from want (the ideal from F.D.R.’s Four Freedoms speech and

Norman Rockwell’s accompanying paintings.) Meka has a normal appearance, except when using his

wish granting abilities, then he gain intricate tattoos that cover his body.

Meka hate the new ideas about djinn that exist within the modern culture. As with other supernatural

entities, his power stems from peoples belief. And since people now believe in djinn as wish granting

jinnies, Meka has to struggle with the choice between becoming more powerful within the modern

context, or holding onto his dignity and fading from people memory forever, and essentially dieing.

As an easy way to be given wished he has disguised himself as a music producer.

Fear Effect On CharacterEnslavement In the modern sense, being a jinnie is synonymous with slave. Meka is old enough to

remember when this wasn't the case and is afraid of having to accept this change. For this

reason he keeps his lamp close to him at all times

Being able to manipulate wishes is the only aspect of his life that gives him freedom now.

He he were to meet his match, one could make a wish that couldn't be misinterpreted and

would also defeat him.

Being If Meka can't accept the new world for djinn, it would mean cutting himself off from the



outdated belief that empowers him. This could either result in him being almost human or not even

existing.

Idle As a nervous habit he will sometimes examine his lamp for damage.

Combat His combat relies heavily on those he's changed through wishes. Though is is an

extremely skill hand-to-hand combatant

Habits For sport he will attempt to find wishes by those he sees as already well off, then

interpret them in ways so as they become homeless, or even die.

Knows that one way or another Lees is trying to put an end to him. He'll do

whatever he can to prevent that.

The Chaote Hates being a slave to him but is glad to be free from his bottle. Also is glad of the

freedom he allows him and knows he could have a worse master in this materialistic

and greedy world.

The Duke Is impressed by his willingness to give up his magic.

Wishes he knew what their actual purpose was as a group, he is uneasy around

them but not explicitly unfriendly.

7) Dreams and Ambitions- He only wants freedom. Eventually recognizing that it exists as an American

human, he may give up his title of djinn.

Age- indeterminable

Gender-Male

Race- Tulpa (Thought Form) completely white

Eye color-White

Hair Color-none

Education-

Position- Inverted Freedom from Fear

Affiliates-The Chaote (Main antagonist) - Itself actually volunteered to work with him. He is the only one

that the Chaote is obviously afraid of.

-Minions- Various nightmare like creatures, urban legends, and “scary pastas” such as the rake,

slender man, thing from Adams family, etc.

2) Archetype

-Itself is the last of the four bosses, the Inverted Freedoms that the player faces. He was summoned as

to act as an opposite of the freedom from fear (the ideal from F.D.R.’s Four Freedoms speech and

Norman Rockwell’s accompanying paintings.) As a tulpa, Itself is the personification of an idea more

than a character. As a suggested by the Chaote, he has begun killing people as they are facing their

greatest fears. As a pure idea, he doesn't a body to enact change as the other inverted did. Almost all his

appearances are within nightmares and hallucinations. There he can fully manipulate the world that is

being portrayed. When portrayed as a person he stands 7ft with a thin frame. His face changes from

completely blank to wide eyed and smiling depending on the context of his long winded speeches.

nothing As Fear itself, there is nothing else in the world to fear. He acknowledges that his fun could

be ruined by the player, but will enjoy every moment he has while it lasts.

FDR Not a fear, but a hate. He will sometimes anecdote about who it has FDR that came the

closest by to defeating him by naming him. He views FDR as the first name in great

American magicians.

Idle Stands tall and straight with his hand behind his back.

Walk He doesn't walk really, only appear and disappears.

Run For amusement he may stretch out his limbs and chase the player.

Combat Attempting to physically fight him is impossible and the attempt doesn't end well.

Usually migraines and continuous vomiting.

Habits He loves to mock victims depending on the context of the scene. An example would bedressing as a dentist and using a carpenter’s drill on the mouth of someone while they

are put to sleep in a dentist’s office.

Both admires and hates his courage. Enjoys attempting to find his fears to use

against him.

The Chaote Knows that he is far more powerful than the Chaote, and only follows his direction

out of curiosity for the plan at large.

The Duke Indifferent, as the fear of a fictional character is meaningless to him.

Freedoms

Sees them as children that he is playing with rather than peers.

7) Dreams and Ambitions- None. He is enjoying the opportunities that are currently presented to him,

but knows that the events of the story will end. As an emotional idea, he is the closest thing to

immortality that is possible, so needs nothing else.
