34 CHAPTER IV CONCLUSION AND SUGGESTION A. Conclusion PT. Rosalia Indah Tour and Travel is a transportation company.Nowadays, it has some agencies all arround Indonesia. In Solo, the company has three branches. They are located in Palur, Kleco, and Slamet Riyadi street. They provide some products, such as airplane tickets, railway tickets, hotels voucher, tour package, good shipping service, and travel documents. The company always tries to give the best service for the customers, it supported with professional staffs in every agent, by concerning on the service, comfort, safety, and cleanness. Work scheduleofPT. Rosalia Indah Tour and Travel are : Monday Sunday : 8.00 a.m. 5.00 p.m. The first shift : At 8.00 a.m. until 5.00 p.m. The second shift :At 9.00 a.m. until 6.00 pm. The experience of having the job training in PT. Rosalia Indah Tour and Travel had given some important knowledgeabout ticketing and reservation in all airlines, including Garuda Indonesiaairline. By doing the job training, the writer also had an opportunity to make a good communication and interaction with customers. She also learned how to handle customers. Based on the discussion previously it can be concluded that : 1. PT. Rosalia Indah Tour and Travel has a good service to increase the number of customers who use their service. CONCLUSION AND SUGGESTION

A. Conclusion

PT. Rosalia Indah Tour and Travel is a transportation company.Nowadays,

it has some agencies all arround Indonesia. In Solo, the company has three

branches. They are located in Palur, Kleco, and Slamet Riyadi street. They

provide some products, such as airplane tickets, railway tickets, hotels

voucher, tour package, good shipping service, and travel documents. The

company always tries to give the best service for the customers, it supported

with professional staffs in every agent, by concerning on the service, comfort,

safety, and cleanness.

Work scheduleofPT. Rosalia Indah Tour and Travel are :

Monday – Sunday : 8.00 a.m. – 5.00 p.m.

The first shift : At 8.00 a.m. until 5.00 p.m.

The second shift :At 9.00 a.m. until 6.00 pm.

The experience of having the job training in PT. Rosalia Indah Tour and

Travel had given some important knowledgeabout ticketing and reservation in

all airlines, including Garuda Indonesiaairline. By doing the job training, the

writer also had an opportunity to make a good communication and interaction

with customers. She also learned how to handle customers. Based on the

discussion previously it can be concluded that :

1. PT. Rosalia Indah Tour and Travel has a good service to increase the

number of customers who use their service. The quality of the service

can be seen from the facilities andsome products available, such as

airline ticket, tour package, railway ticket, good shipping service, hotel

voucher, travel documents, and bus ticket. Even though the main

product is bus ticket, airplane ticket also becomes the best-seller

product here. Therefore,the ticketing staff should know about

reservation in all airlines well. The customers can also book plane

ticket by using phone, email, message, or come to the office directly.

2. The process of handling Garuda Indonesia ticket reservation can be

described as follows :

a. Booking ticket of Garuda Indonesia

The first step of booking ticket is knowing the relevant

information from customers such as number of passenger, flight

route, date of flight, flight timing, and the identity of passengers

including the complete name, gender, and phone number. Here,

the steps of booking ticket are as follows:

1) Signing in to web Garuda Indonesia agent application by

inputting the username and password which is only known by

the ticketing staff.

2) Completing the flight date, month and flight route according

to the passenger’s request.

3) Completing the number of passengers and the seat class.

4) Entering the data of passengers, such as thecomplete name and

the status based on the identity card.

5) Typing the phone number of passengers and agency.

6) Continuing with certain code of Garuda Indonesia airline.

b. Issuing ticket of Garuda Indonesia

After the process of booking ticket is done the passengers should

confirm to the ticketing staff before the time limit. Then the

ticketing staff can issue the ticket as soon as possible by entering

the booking code, if they do not confirm the ticket will be canceled.

3. The problems that often happen in handling ticket reservation in PT.

Rosalia Indah Tour and Travel are as follows :

a. Misscomunication is the common problem in the work field, it

usually happens between employees and customers when handling

ticket reservation.

b. Error system is the usual problem, the airline system can not be

used, such as low respond of system.

c. Human error, ithappened when ticketing staff enter the wrong

name or telephone number.

d. Internet speed also become a serious problem when they runs

slowly.

Therefore, staff needs to handle the problemsprofessionally.

Byovercoming all the problems will create good image from the customer. The

staff should gain more trusts from the customers by improving the quality of

PT. Rosalia Indah Tour and Travel. Thus, the problems should be

minimizedand they should not make the same mistake. The ticketing staff

should be more careful in the process of handling ticket reservation.

B. Suggestion

After finishing the final project, the writer give some suggestions for :

1. PT. Rosalia Indah Tour and Travel

PT. Rosalia Indah Tour and Travel branch kleco is the new office, there are

still a few employees there. I think to improve the quality of service they

should add more employees, so every employee can be more focus with

their own job. Because if one person doing many job desk they cannot be

focus with their job. Not only the problems but alsothere are still many

problemsfaced in handling reservation.I suggest that the company conduct

meeting once in two weeks, so that they can discuss their problemsin the

workplace during the meeting and make training for all the ticketing staff to

add the knowledge about ticketing.It also will makes a good relation among

employees. Hopefully, it can improve the quality of the company to be

better.

2. The ticketing staff

The ticketing staff should improve their quality of service in order to create

customer satisfaction. If there is a problem between the employees, it

should be discussed together in order to minimize the mistake. The

ticketing staff should improve their quality and knowledge by following the

training about ticketing and reservation. So, they will not make a mistake

when booking or issuing plane ticket. To avoid the mistake, they should

make the reservation carefully.

3. The students of English Diploma Program

The final project can be beneficial for students who take tourism

mainstream and have job training as ticketing staff in airlines or travel

agency. This final project report will give information about ticketing,

especially for Garuda Indonesia airline.I suggest that the students who

want to take job training in Tour and Travel should be carefull when

handling reservation.
