    「C∞ 級ってことは、微分が連続……点どうしの対応が、滑らかに対応するってことかな?」「あおいのその感覚は大事だ。2つの多様体が微分同相であるとは、微分構造が同じだということ。例えば、よく言われるドーナツとコーヒーカップの例だけれど、それぞれの点を滑らかに対応させることができる、微分同相写像が存在する、という意味で “同じ”と言っているんだ」「穴の数とかも、微分同相写像を調べればわかるのかな!?」「どうやって微分同相写像を調べるか、という問題になってしまうけどね」

    4.3.2 接写像/押し出し
