Push-Button Engine StartingThe Traxxas EZ-Start™ System brings the safety and convenience of push-button electric starting to the TRX 2.5 Racing Engine. Simply plug in the hand-held control unit and push the button. The EZ-Start Systemautomatically heats the glow plug and the lightweight, compact on-boarddrive spins the engine. The drive system is attached to the engine, so yourhand is safely away from spinning shafts and motors. The new roller clutchdesign ensures positive engagement every time. Traxxas’ exclusive SmartStart™ technology monitors critical starting functions, automatically sensingand diagnosing potential problems for reliable, trouble-free engine starting.

Knife-Edged Connecting RodThe knife-edged connecting rod slips through thedense fuel air mixture in the crankcase, reducingturbulence and drag.

Long Rod DesignThe TRX 2.5’s connecting rod is longer than in anyother small-block .15 engine. The longer roddecreases the rod angle throughout the entirestroke of the piston, reducing side load on thepiston. It adds up to less friction and more power.

Smooth Tubular HeaderThe tubular header features smooth, roundedbends to eliminate exhaust flow restriction andturbulence. Its precise shape and length have beenmatched to the engine and the exhaust pipe formaximum power output.

Molded Head ProtectorThe molded head protector prevents damage to the head and secures the glow plug wire.

Cast Cylinder HeadThe innovative cast head is engineered for themost heat reduction possible. Cooler runningequals more power!

High-Volume Air FilterThe ultra low-restriction air filter provides superiorair-flow and filtration for more power and longengine life. The two-stage design features areusable oiled foam element and built-in finemesh pre-filter.

The TRX 2.5 is equipped with the TRX Composite Slide Carburetor. The

slide carburetor is desired byperformance enthusiasts because it

provides less restrictive, straightthrough airflow for more power and
