Do you have a problem?
• If it ain't broke – don’t fix it!• What are you trying to solve?• What is it to do with?– Time– Quality– Scope creep– None of the above– All of the above.
How much desire do you have?
• You need a lot• Is this shared by the “people who matter”• Even with the wind behind you…
…this will be challenging!
Does agile solve your problem?
• You need to know what agile is• See what it solves• See what it does not solve• Don’t forget the everyday basics!
Can you make the case for agile?
• It needs a business case• The investment needs to be justified• Changing a culture will take money• What are you measuring?
The mindset and the mechanics
• Attitude and ethos are vital• Openness is an important factor• But changing culture requires more than this
…so don’t overlook the process.
What does success look like?
• It looks like your problems are being solved!• Remember the ‘problem’ slide earlier• Don’t get distracted – e.g. by ‘happy campers’.
Where are you now?
• What is working well?• What needs to be improved?• Do the ‘gap analysis’.
Enjoy the journey!
• It should be fun!• If it isn’t, you are probably doing something
wrong.
…but never forget…
• Agile is an enabler. It is a means to an end and not the end in itself!
