    Changing an SAP Systems Hostname

This document assumes that your SAP system is running without any problems on an

existing server with a particular name. This procedure was carried out on a Web

Application 6.10 server installation with a system name o SAPWAS! the system then

had its name changed to SAPW"#. Shutdown all SAP and Oracle services, making

sure that they are either disabled or set to manual.

This should be attempted in $ stages

    1. Windows %T level

1.1 &hanging the 'ostname in the %etwor( Properties

This stage will require a reboot of the machine, but wait until all parts of NT stages are

completed. (If Oracle services are still set to automatic, the ORA!"#"R$I"A%"NT

and the ORA!"TN#!I#TN"R will fail upon reboot&
