Dedication:
I dedicate this book to my mother, Mrs. W.G. Mills, who
went home to be with the Lord in 1995. She fought the
good fight of faith and now she is watching me run my
race. Thanks mom giving me the greatest gift on planet
earth…faith in The Lord Jesus Christ.

Chapter One: Why Christians Are Weak
Many Christians are sick, poor and defeated in
many areas of their lives because they have not dared to
confess about themselves what the Word of God says.
God has provided everything we need to live a
blessed, victorious life yet most Christians are weak, sick,
poor and defeated. They seem to have no real joy and they
appear to be doing worse than the person who has no
interest in God at all. Why is this?
What Christ has done for us at the Cross is past
tense. It’s already done. Yet most believers are still
begging God to do what He has already done over two
thousand years ago. Most Christians believe that God can
do anything, yet they believe that He HAS DONE
NOTHING. They are begging God to do what God has
already done.
For example the Word of God reveals that born-
again believers are new creatures in Christ Jesus (II
Corinthians 5:17) with the very life and the very nature of
God in them (I John 5:10-13). And as believers they

HAVE BEEN DELIVERED out of Satan's power and have
been translated into God's kingdom Colossians 1:12-14.
Colossians 1:13
“…God has delivered us out of the power of
darkness and has translated us into the kingdom of
His dear Son”
If this is true, why is it that so many Christians don't
look, act or talk like they're in the kingdom of God? It's
because their redemption is not a reality in their lives. And
the reason their redemption is not a reality in their lives is
that they have never dared to confess those facts out loud
with their mouths.
This book will help you to discover how to tap into
the power of God’s kingdom and start ruling in life. If you
will practice the truths in this book you will see a dramatic
change in the quality of your life in the not to distant future.

Chapter Two: A Powerful Spiritual Law: Our Words Rule Us
A spiritual law that few people realize is that our
confessions (the words that we speak) rule us. You'll never
rise above your confession.
In Mark 11:23 Jesus tells us that we can have
anything we say as long as we do not doubt in our heart. He
did not say believe in your head and confess with your
mouth. He said, believe in your HEART and confess with
your MOUTH!
Romans 10:9-10
"That if you shall confess with your mouth the Lord
Jesus, and shall believe in your heart that God hath
raised him from the dead, you shall be saved. For
with the heart man believeth unto righteousness;
and with the mouth confession is made unto
salvation."
That's the reason why so many church members
have a lot of head knowledge of the Bible and still end up

defeated, sick, frustrated, poor and depressed. They have
not learned to confess who they are what they have in
Christ.

Chapter Three: Speaking The Word Is A Process Not A
Gimmick
Just because you speak something one time doesn’t
mean it’s going to come to pass. But speaking the Word of
God is a part of the process where you cause faith to be
sown, watered and developed in your heart over a period of
time.
According to Jesus, words are seeds.
Mark 4:14
The sower sows the Word.
Words, just like seeds, must be sown before they
will produce a crop. Saying it is sowing. Words work like
seeds. They must be planted, watered, cultivated. They
must also receive light and air. Then the seed will grow
into a mature crop that can be harvested and enjoyed.
But you aren’t going to plant a seed one minute and
have a harvest the next minute. There is a period of time
where the seed must be watered and cultivated and then
after a period of time you can reap the mature crop. Saying
is also watering the seed. Saying is sowing and saying is
watering.
Changing Your World By Changing Your Words
10
But what is the soil? According to Mark 4:15, the
heart of man is the soil where words grow and produce.
The soil doesn’t care what kind of seed you put into it. It
will begin to germinate whatever seed you plant whether
it’s a corn seed or a weed seed. If you have been speaking
words of fear, doubt, lack, hatred and worry, then your
heart knows no better than to produce a crop of fear, doubt,
hatred and worry. Change your words and you will change
your harvest. But you must be patient as your new harvest
is growing in your heart.
Some people are so developed in speaking words of
lack, sickness, fear and doubt that it’s going to take them a
little time to change what they are reaping. As you spend
time every day speaking the Word of God, your heart will
begin producing life instead of death; prosperity instead of
lack; health instead of sickness; joy instead of depression;
and power instead of weakness.
Once that seed is developed in your heart then you
will be able to speak things out according to the Word and
see quicker results. The more developed you get in faith
and the less developed you get in fear and doubt, the
quicker you will see the manifestation of the Word you are
speaking.
Watering the seed is just as important as sowing the
seed. You sow a seed only one time, but you have to water
a seed over and over. The same is true with the Word of
God. Saying it once is not enough. As you spend time
each day speaking the Word of God you are watering the
Seed in your heart. If you want to see God’s power
increase in every area of your life you must learn to plant
the seeds of God’s word into your heart and water it with
repeated and daily confession.

Chapter Four: Words Affect Everything
The law of confession works not only for salvation
but for everything in life – GOOD or BAD.
In Mark 11:23 Jesus says "...and shall not doubt in
his heart, but shall believe that those things which he says
shall come to pass; he shall have whatsoever he says."
For example, some people have more faith in Satan
than God. They have more faith in the medical report than
they do in the Bible report. They have morr faith in the
figures in their checkbook than they do in God’s book.
They believe with all their heart and say with their mouth,
"I always get the flu when it comes to town." And because
they believe it and say it, they get the flu.
Instead they ought to start saying with their mouth,
“According to Matthew 8:17, Jesus took my infirmities and
bore my sickness; therefore I forbid any sickness to come
upon my body!"
You see, life and death are in the power of YOUR
TONGUE.
Proverbs 18:21
Life and death are in the power of the tongue and
Changing Your World By Changing Your Words

ose who love it shall the fruit thereof.”
If you talk about things pertaining to death such as
fear, disease, failure, poverty and worry you are going to
experience those things in your life.
But you can stop speaking and claiming to have
those things and you can begin to speak and claim the
things that God has given you through our redemption in
Christ.
If you don’t like what you have in life, change what
you are saying about yourself. At the end of this book there
some scriptures and scriptural confessions that you can
begin speaking out loud every day. If you will stay
consistent, you will see supernatural results.
You’ll be glad you read this book and put it into
practice.

Chapter Five: How To Have A Strong And Powerful Faith
Testimony is a vital part of the faith life. If you
want to develop robust faith – then continually tell what the
Lord is doing for you and what the Word of God says about
you. The more you talk about Him, the more real Jesus
becomes to you. The less you talk about Him, the less real
He is to you!
Confessing the Word will cause faith to arise in
your heart because “...faith comes by hearing and hearing
by the Word of God. (Romans 10:17). You'll believe what
you continually speak with your mouth because when you
speak it you are also hearing it.
In fact, faith will develop more quickly when you
say it than when you hear someone else say it. Why?
Because you have an inner ear. That’s why you sound
differently to yourself than you do to others. That’s why
the first time you heard yourself on a recording it sounded
differently to you. That’s why hearing yourself speak the
Word works faster then hearing someone else speak it.
Your inner ear feeds the words you speak directly into your
heart. So to develop strong faith, speak the word out loud
every day.
It’s not enough to hear a sermon or to read the Bible
silently. After reading the Bible or hearing a sermon, take
a few minutes to speak the scriptures aloud so that your
Changing Your World By Changing Your Words
15
inner ear can feed faith into your heart. Be a doer of the
Word by speaking it and not just a reader or hearer of the
Word. It won’t be long before you will see the
manifestation of what you are saying!

Chapter Six: How To Get The Bible to Become Real to
You
Faith's confessions create realities. As far as God is
concerned everything you are "In Christ" is already so. In
the mind of God it’s already a fact. In the spiritual realm
it’s already so. All the promises in the Bible are ours
legally.
The Bible is a legal document, sealed by the blood
of Jesus; however it is believing and confessing it which
makes it a reality to you. God wants us to enjoy and know
the reality of what He has provided for us –and He has
already told us how to do it through His Word.
Go through the scriptures, especially the New
Testament, and find the verses with "In Christ," "In Him,"
"In Whom," "Through Him," etc. and begin to personalize
them and confess them with your mouth. Begin to say,
"This is mine, this is who I am in Christ, this is what I have
in Christ, and this is what I can do in Christ." Then your
redemption in Christ Jesus will become a reality to you.
It is already real in the spirit realm, but we want it
to become real in this physical realm where we live in the
flesh. I don't need physical healing when I get to heaven, I
need it now. I don't need money when I get to heaven, I
need it now. I don't need deliverance from Satan's bondages
in heaven; I need it now in this time on earth where I live
today!
Changing Your World By Changing Your Words
17
The Bible will not become real to you until you
begin to confess that the things God says about you are
true. You can read the Bible, hear it preached, and even
quote Bible verses, but until you begin to say with your
mouth what the Bible says about you, it will seem unreal to
you.
I have personally experienced what I am writing to
you. I made my mind up several years ago that I was going
to set aside time everyday to speak the Word of God.
Every single day, I began to take time to declare who I am
and what I have in Christ.
When I first started, it seemed like I was lying. It
seemed mechanical, unreal and dry. But after several
weeks of doing this daily, I had a faith “breakthrough.
The words I was speaking begin to jump off of the
page at me and it seemed that every word I spoke was
absolutely true. I had experienced real Bible faith. My
seed had finally matured and I was enjoying the crop.
As soon as the Word became a reality, my
circumstances began to change. My finances improved, my
marriage became stronger, I had more joy and peace than I
had ever had. I was triple promoted in one year and I
experienced supernatural success.
Therefore, take the scriptures and confessions in the
next chapter and begin to say them out loud every day and
even several times a day. There will be a day when they
will become a reality to you. That day will be a day you
will never forget and your life will never be the same.
I’ve also seen this in the lives of others. I recorded
a CD with scriptures pertaining to healing. I coached
people to repeat the scriptures aloud and to make a
confession out of them. We have testimonies of at least
three with terminal cancer who were supernaturally healed
Changing Your World By Changing Your Words
18
within a time span of about five months. Each of those
three people played the CD every day and repeated the
healing scriptures out loud.
One lady had a tumor in her esophagus. It was the
size of an orange. After speaking the Word for five
months, the tumor shrunk to a size smaller than a pea
without any radiation or chemotherapy. When she went
back to the doctor, they were amazed. They gave her a few
treatments of radiation and shortly thereafter she was
declared well!
The same thing happened with a man who had brain
cancer. The same thing happened with a woman who had
cancer all over her body and was given up by the doctors to
die. She was given a life expectancy of six months. But
she was completely healed after five months! It will work
for you also. Proverbs 4:20-22 says so.
Proverbs 4:20-22
20 My son, pay attention to what I say;
listen closely to my words.
21 Do not let them out of your sight,
keep them within your heart;
22 for they are life to those who find them
and health to a man's whole body. NIV
Make your redemption a reality, begin to
personalize God's Word and confess it daily with your
mouth, Begin to talk and act as if God's Word were true
because it is.
