• Almost 1000 individuals experience homelessness on any given night in Guilford county
• 200 of those are children

In 2012/2013, 2300 students experienced homelessness
540 Guilford County high school students experienced homelessness,
91 of whom were unaccompanied by an adult

The homeless student population isup 48 percent in Guilford County
Most Piedmont students can do homework in their own home, but nearly 2,000 children in
Guilford County do not have that choice.

More than 150 students live in shelters, another 100 live in hotels, and another 70 are
out on the streets.
