It is with great pleasure that I am able toreport that AGCO have awardedChandlers (Farm Equipment) Ltd. with

the Massey Ferguson, Fendt and Challengerfranchises for the Lutterworth territory. Weare presently full steam ahead with fittingout our new 10,000 sq. ft. premises atArkwright Hill Ind. Park, Lutterworth Road,(A426) Cosby, Leicestershire, which will becomplete by the end of January 2013.Plans are in the pipeline for an officialopening and we will be sending invitationsand advertising the event shortly. We arelooking forward to meeting and serving thefarming community in the area andintroducing our new team, several of whomwill be already known to many in thelocality.AGCO’s massive investment in product

development has seen new model launchesin all three brands we represent.Challenger have introduced the new 700

D-series tracked tractors which arepowered by the Sisu engine givingincreased output, greater economy, andimproved emissions which meet Euro tier3B regulations. They use AGCO’s SCRtechnology which has proved so successfuland fuel efficient in the Fendt and MasseyFerguson tractors. Other improvementsinclude reduced in-cab noise levels, and asmoother transmission due to more refinedsynchromesh components.Fendt have released the 500 series range

with four models 512, 513, 514 & 516,using four cylinder engines up to 165hpagain with SCR technology and fitted withindustry leading cabs similar to the Fendt700 SCR series tractors.

Massey Ferguson will unveil the newrange of MF5600 tractors at Lamma, 80, 90and 110 hp, 5608, 5609 and 5610 modelswhich are all tier 3B compliant and havelarger cabs similar to those fitted to theMassey Ferguson 7600 series. The Beta fiveand six straw walker combines are alsofurther improved with the brand newSkyline cab including Fendt type controlsfor smooth operation and touch screen forease of use and Para-level full combineauto level system which allows a narrowtransport width.Kubota have also been busy developing

new tractors, extending their M series rangewith four new models, which are 85hp,100hp, 110hp & 135hp, all have fourcylinder common rail engines, DieselOxidation Catalyst (DOC) and DieselParticulate Filter (DPF) making them EuroStage 3B compliant. Both the M110GXand the M135GX have Four Post Cabsgiving excellent visibility and also bothhave Kubota’s unique Bi-Speed Turn featurefor good manoeuvrability in confinedspaces.Please look at our extensive range of used

20 x Consolidation in Blue.The FlexPack from LEMKEN

LEMKEN’s Juwel ploughs can now be fitted with the new integrated FlexPack press. The press consolidates the freshly ploughed land to break clods and conserve moisture. It turns over with the plough, is transported on the plough, and can be folded close to the plough to allow ploughing up to the field boundary. It even adjusts its working width automatically when mounted on a hydraulic vari-width plough. Available to fit certain 4-6 furrow Juwel ploughs, the 5 furrow model uses 20 x 600mm diameter rings. We call it consolidation in blue.

Earlier this year, James Lacey of L and D Flowers, ofPinchbeck took delivery of a Kubota M6040, 64 H.PTractor, C/W R.O.PS frame, and quick attach, KubotaLA1153 front loader.

This is currently the largest tractor that Kubotaproduce for the U.K market, that has a rollbar,making the tractor accessable for glasshouses, andpoly tunnels.

L and D Flowers crop 165 hectares of outdoor cut flowers, mainly Sunflowers andGladioli, and 12,000 square metres of glasshouses and poly tunnels.

James explained that one of the reasons he purchased the Kubota, was the fact it had arollbar, making it easier to get in the poly tunnels, and when the loader is fitted, the forward andreverse clutchless shuttle, is easy to use when filling hoppers with peat, with the front loader,and the fact that we can set the wheel centres of the tractor to 1.5 metres, for bed work andinter row cultivation.
