Greetings From the Executive Director
A Newsletter for Chamber Members & Park Falls Area Promoters
November is here again and that means time to run with the turkeys !!!
The Turkey Trot has become a great tradition here in Park Falls. What a great way to burn
some calories before the day’s feast….
This year we have made a special offer to all STUDENTS, register online by November 2 for
$15 and get a race shirt. There is now a Chamber Members Discount and a Race only
Option as well. Check out www.ParkFalls.com for the details.
The Chambers Fall Banquet is right around the corner. Deadline for reservations is Novem-
ber 5th. PLEASE get your reservation in on time so we can order the right amount of food.
The board of directors has 4 open positions up for the vote this year. Please send in your
nominations by November 2. Voter sheets will be distributed starting Monday, November
5th. Voting will be counted by 5:30 night of the banquet.
The website is still doing well with traffic slowing from our peak of 5,000 hits a month to
around 2,000 this last month. Content is important, please forward us your information so
we can post it.
Remember that the staff is here for YOU. If you have any ideas or suggestions, we want to
hear them from you. Give us a call, email us or even better stop in and say hello.
The office is staffed daily from 9am to 4 pm Monday to Friday.
Thank you,
Edward J Kane, Executive Director

Ambassador visits and “We Noticed”
The Park Falls Area Chamber of Commerce Ambassadors were
out again in September, spreading more good information about
Park Falls and the Chamber and just having some FUN…..
This month the Ambassadors started out with the 50th anniversary
party at the C.E.P. The ladies in the office are always there to assist
anyone looking for a job.
The next stop was a tour of the Park Falls Fire and Police head-
quarters. Thanks to the departments for showing off some of the
great equipment and awards the departments have been honored
with.
They finished out the day with some snacks and a tour of Baroka’s
Wreaths in Fifield. They do so much more than just Christmas
Wreaths out there !!!!

Chamber Connection November, 2018
Being a member of the Chamber of Commerce is a great way to get your business connected
with other businesses as well as with customers. A century ago there was only 40 US cities
that had a Chamber. Today there are more than 7,000 Chambers, Boards of trade and desig-
nated non profits advancing the interest of the communities. The numbers show that being in
a dedicated and driven Chamber results are driven.
What is a Chamber of Commerce? It is a partnership between professional people and
businesses. This is a voluntary partnership designed to better the quality of life in a communi-
ty and advance the business in the marketplace. Over the last year we have been listening and
reacting to the feedback we are getting. You have seen many changes over the year and about
to see many more……
As a chamber works to improve the quality of life and the economy in an area it does it with
these objectives in mind:
Help the members grow and prosper
Increase the opportunities for employment in the area
Work for an orderly expansion of the economy
Bring excitement to the residents so they feel rejuvenated in the community.
Promote and provide education to the membership
Connect the students and business owns so that they can grow together.
GREAT Things to COME…….. Just wait…...
Benefits of Being a Chamber Member
