ear Friends and ColleaguesIt is a great pleasure to welcome you to Turin for the EuropeanMeeting on Laparoscopic and Robotic Urologic Surgery. “Challenges in Laparoscopy and Robotics” has reached the 17th
edition and the concept that initiated this adventure is quite alive and showsgreat potential for the future of Urology.
The comprehensive scientific program will include live laparoscopic and roboticsurgeries, enriched with new technology, and performed by the world’s mostprominent urologic surgeons.
In the past meetings, we have witnessed many challenging procedures. It isnow time to expand our indications and to look forward to new challenges likethe Nerve Sparing Retzius sparing RARP, the Clampless Partial Nephrectomy, the Robotic Orthotopic New Bladder, the Cava Thrombus in RCC, complex andrare reconstructive procedures, the Retroperitoneal Robotic Partial Nephrectomyand the innovative 4K-3D STORZ System.
We are enthusiastically anticipating an extremely stimulating meeting. Live andSemi Live surgery, discussions and thought-provoking debates will take placewith the participation of the best urologists in the International arena. There willbe three monitors transmitting different surgical procedures at the same time. Each delegate will be provided with headphones with the possibility to selectthe preferred moderation. All questions will be transmitted to the moderatorsvia Twitter.
During the last edition in Barcelona we decided to add one screen of Semi Livesurgery and this innovation was appreciated by the delegates. Also this year inTurin we will have the same format giving to the surgeons the moderators andthe audience the possibility to interact technical and clinical details for one hour.
