Why should we care?? Seven people died in this so called

“explosion”. These people knew the risk and still decided to go on with their mission of space exploration even though they never made it there. We should also care because this has helped improve safety precautions that are taken before any lift-off, and has also helped N.A.S.A make technological advances in their space craft program.

Styles?!?!?! Happened In the late 80’s, January 28,

1986. Popular music was Hip-Hop and these

were considered the “Golden Years” for Hip-Hop.

Style of clothing was Grunge, bright and baggy and big shoes.

Hair styles for men was either short and combed down or kind of long with long side burns.

The Story

It was a cold January morning as the shuttle was ready for lift off. The temperature was about 31 degrees Fahrenheit down on the coast of Florida. The shuttle had lifted off at 11:39a.m and 73 seconds into its flight the right solid rocket booster failed causing a fire that caused the explosion.
