The basic Objective of this application is to export and import the Data files (GIS data andattribute data) into the database and IAR (Integrated Asset Repository). IAR is the sharedlocations where the data file resides in, which are extracted from the legacy systems inXML and Fixed Width File formats.

There will be seven import and two export processes. Import process, retrieve the filesfrom IAR using FTP to a shared location from where the application processes the files andupdate in to the Geodatabase. Export process retrieve the data from the JTX transactions



done during the working day into XML and GML files and then will be placed into IAR usingFTP.

The whole application will be scheduled to run as a background process, which isaccomplished by ³Windows services´.
