  • Over-view of Rules Teams MUST register for evaluations/competitions upon arrival Friday night. If a team fails to register, they will not be allowed to participate. Evaluations will be available for ALL ceremonies, and will be scored as per the guidelines set out in the Ceremonies booklet (Which I will email to all Lodge Chiefs and Section officers. If you would like to see a close example you can see me after the meeting.) Competitions will be offered in addition to Evaluations in the Pre-Ordeal and Vigil Ceremonies, and are OPTIONAL. Competitions will be scored from a video tape of the ceremony at a later time by a different set of judges. They will be scored 1 st, 2 nd, and 3 rd, place in each ceremony. Participation permitting, competitions may be added to the remainder of the ceremonies. In that case, the only medal will be given for the 1 st place team in each ceremony. Certificates will be given for 2 nd and 3 rd place. The Best Overall Lodge Ceremony Trophy will be awarded as per the scoring guidelines set out in Ceremony Booklet.

  • Judges Evaluators Each Lodge needs to provide 4 evaluators These should be adults who are knowledgeable about ceremonies (i.e. ceremony team adviser, past participant etc.) Judges The judges will be picked from the list of evaluators given by each lodge. Training Evaluator/Judge training will take place in the first training block on Saturday morning. This training is invitation-only for those evaluators and judges provided beforehand by each lodge. I need to meet with each Lodge Chief after the meeting to discuss providing evaluators.

  • Budget (contd) Total budget $500. Explanation This estimation is on the high side. This is to provide a buffer on increased shipping costs, rendering fees, ink prices, copying fees, etc. Also, seeing as last year we estimated $750 and spent only $254, my team and I feel that this is a safe and fair number.
