Refer to GP 5 Portable Work Station and Tools for information regarding the AltBoot tool that is used to diagnose and repair faults with the network controller. Initial Actions Make sure that the machine has no fault or status code other than 16-XXX active and, with the exception of the network controller fault, is working correctly. Procedure WARNING Do not remove the battery from the network controller PWB. Danger of explosion if the battery is installed incorrectly. WARNING Switch off the electricity to the machine, GP 14. Disconnect the power cord from the customer supply while performing tasks that do not need electricity. Electricity can cause death or injury. Moving parts can cause injury. NOTE: Communication errors between the image processing PWB module and the network controller are covered in the 03-340, 03-416 Image Processing PWB to Network Controller Faults RAP. Make sure that the external connectors are securely seated and the cables are undamaged. The connections are good. Y N Reseat the connections. If the power supply cable is damaged, install a new power supply PWB, PL 16.10 Item 8. Switch off the machine, GP 14 and disconnect the power cord from the wall outlet. Reconnect the power cord and switch on the machine. The network controller does not boot up cor- rectly. Y N Perform SCP 6 Final Actions. Figure 1.
