• attended drupalcon boston
• taught cck themeing at drupaldaze (MN)
more drupal-ing
• create drupal sites for the science museum of minnesota
• diseasedetectives.org
• nisenet.org (online community for nanoscience educators/scientists)
• currently working on new features for sciencebuzz.org
nisenet.org
diseasedetectives.org
more drupal-ing
• write modules (drupal 5) for custom features for nano project (mostly cck-related)
• have used taxonomy module, but haven’t repurposed or extended it yet
biology projects
• worked at exploratorium, on many biology projects (4 years)
• Microscope Imaging Stationhttp://www.exploratorium.edu/imaging_station

biology projects
• created bioinformatics exhibit kiosk for exploratorium
• experimented with variety of genomic data
• finally chose ENSEMBL combined with 2 other databases to provide museum visitors with a way to easily search the entire human genome (flash, php, mysql)

our project : loca lb io logy.org
• new project
• community learning project
• current focus - building calendars and reports of natural and people events
• main audiences: people very new to experiencing nature, biologists at home
• focus on rebuilding skills of observation, listening, patience and relationships with outside world
our project : loca lb io logy.org
• creating ways to learn about & investigate wild things in our own neighborhoods
• method for encouraging participation in local conservation, naturalist societies and ‘itinerant naturalist’ walks
• drupal 6.0
• interested in exploring ways of incorporating EoL information for enriched understanding of local and very common species (esp. location sensitive data)
• could use more information about species characteristics in relation to taxonomies
• want to create open, exchangeable data about events and phenological observations made by our beginner users
