COLD GUTTING CHAIN MACHINE

Mathey Dearman's Redesigned Lighter Weight CGM Chain Driven

Cold Pipe Cutting and Beveling Machine is Idea! for:

•New Construction •Demolition •Removal of Piping Components

Two (2)-speed Heavy-Duty Drive Transmission Multi-Gear Transmission now gives

the operator precise control of the forward speed of the machine during cutting.

The NEW Transmission provides positive movement of the machine to reduce

vibration when cutting higher strength materials.

Blade Shut-Off Valve automatically shuts off air or hydraulic pressure to the blade

and Drive Motor when the Blade Guard is open reducing risk of injury to the operator

by the rotating blade.

Heavy-Duty Mist Lubrication System provides a constant flow of lubricant that

increases speed of cut and decreases blade wear.

THE PNEUMATIC V,GM WILL CUT 70,000 POUNB (P91)■NGTH PIPE5-

r TO 5/8" / 16MM THICK.

PNEUMATIC DRIVEN CGM is designed primarily to

cut and bevel thin wall lower tensile strength pipe and

utilizes Heavy-Duty Air Motors to rotate the Drive and

Blade Systems.

The Pneumatic Chain Driven CGM requires an air

compressor having a minimum output pressure of 90 psi

at 142 cubic feet per minute / 6.2 bar at 4,ooo liter per

minute. The Ingersoll-Rand® Air Motors are known for their

reliability under ali types of environmental conditions.

Blade speed and forward speed are controlled by means

of two (2) independent Metering Valves.

HAVING A WALL THICK! TO 1" / 2.3MM WALL

HYDRAULIC DRIVEN CGM has the brute strength

required for continuous cutting of heavier wall and higher

tensile strength pipes.

The maintenance free Hydraulic Blade and Drive Motors are

adjustable and deliver consistent horsepower to the Cutting

and Beveling Blades and Drive Motor. The Hydraulic Chain

driven CGM requires an air supply of 90 psi / 6.2 bar to

operate the Mist Lubrication System.

Cutting at Ocean Depths: A model of the Hydraulic CGM is

ideal for cutting at ocean depths up to 130' / 39M.

POWER SUPPLYElectric and Diesel engine driven Hydraulic Power Supply

is available with an output of 1420 psi at 20 gallons per

minute /100 bar at 72 liters per minute. The Electric

Driven Hydraulic Power Supply requires 380vac three

(3)-phase current for operation. The Diesel Engine Driven

Hydraulic Power Supply is powered by an air cooled

diesel engine. The lifting lugs on the Hydraulic Power

Supply permits movement around the shop or in the field

with a crane or pallet truck.

SEVERING & BEVELING BLADESThe new blades freely cut the higher strength material

(70,000 tensile strength/P91) with minimal vibration

extending the life of the blades. The machine cuts and

bevels both sides of the cut simultaneously.

The MEW BLADES are made of 8% cobalt-allowing

them to last longer, reducing cost of replacement or down

time of resharpening the blades.

The CGM can produce almost any type of pipe end

configuration including Standard Bevels, "J" Preps and

Compound Bevel Angles by simply changing the beveling

blades. The machine will cut and bevel any materials

such as carbon steel, stainless steel, ductile iron, cast

iron and most other alloys without spark or flame.
