Dear Friend, Thank you for joining us at Boston Medical Center’s second annual, “Catwalk for BMC Cancer Care.” As a cancer survivor myself, I know that celebration of life and strength is a very important part of healing. “Catwalk” is by far the most energized celebration for cancer survivors that I could ever imagine. The fact that you are here means that you are passionate about the high quality wraparound care that is unique to BMC’s Cancer Care program. I believe that no other hospital works as hard as BMC does to ensure that patients are getting the care they need, from securing rides to treatment, arranging for interpreters or child care, or scheduling various appointments so that necessary treatments create minimal disruptions in our patients’ lives. For many of our patients, the providers at BMC are “family” and I assure you that the feeling is mutual. Please know that your involvement in Catwalk for BMC Cancer Care means a great deal to us, our staff, and, most importantly, our patients. Delivery of exceptional cancer care to the residents of Boston who are most at risk and require extra support is possible thanks to donors like you. If you are interested in learning more, please visit www.bmc.org and search for “Cancer Care Center.” With much appreciation, Kate Walsh President & CEO

Stephanie  Raymond  My  name  is  Stephanie  Raymond.  I  was  born  in  HaiF.  I  came  to  Boston,  MA

by  myself  when  I  was  seven.  Growing  up,  I  was  that  kid  that  my  parents  just  did  not  understand.  I  always  seemed  like  I  was  in  my  own  world  of

creaFve  bliss;  my  getaway  world  from  the  pressures  of  growing  up  with  a  strict  HaiFan  Dad.  I  always  felt  limited,  controlled  and  trapped.  Drawing

was  my  outlet  when  I  felt  the  most  suffocated  from  the  rules  and  structure  of  my  household.  I  grew  to  learn  to  let  my  thoughts  fly  free

through  pen  and  paper,  and  through  that  I  found  my  love  for  fashion  and  designing.  Through  this  enlightenment  I  felt  the  most  free  to  be  me  with

no  control.    Though  I  ignored  my  art  calling  in  college  and  studied  Biology  I  never  lost  my  passion  for  it.  Life  took  me  on  a  roller  coaster  ride  and  has  taught  me  many  lessons  but  I  always  found  my  solace  in  designing.  AJer  the  2010  Earthquake  in  HaiF,  my  love  for  fashion  became  a  mission.  I  believe,  not  just  fashion  but,  unlocking  the  creaFve  passion  inside  my  naFve  country

is  extremely  important  and  vital  in  preserving  the  essence  and  the  beauty  that  is  HaiF.  I  know  that  with  the  right  opportuniFes,  HaiF  has  so  much  potenFal.  If  I  could,  if  only  for  a  few  hours,  do  something  to  relieve  my

peoples’  minds  of  the  tragedy  and  losses  they  encounter  every  day  I  want  to  put  my  all  into  it  and  give  them  something  inspiraFonal  to  think  about.

AJer  years  of  trial  and  tribulaFons,  I’m  finally  ready  to  share  with  the  world  the  love  I  have  for  this  industry.  With  the  help  of  a  wonderful

friend,  for  the  past  year  I’ve  taken  the  iniFaFve  to  teach  myself  the  skills  I  need  to  make  my  dream  a  reality.  My  designs  are  inspired  by  my  past,  my

country  and  the  essence  of  who  Stephanie  Raymond  is…  bold,  to-‐the-‐point  and  sharp.  I  consider  my  work  to  be  the  diary  of  my  life.  Welcome

to  LezBReaL  Fashionz
