DEPARTMENT OF PHILOSOPHY

this interdisciplinary program combines histor-ical and analytical approaches to major areas of philosophical study. the department also works in close collaboration with the departments of Cognitive science and Political science.

cAREER PATH

Master’s degree graduates obtain positions in academia as well as in the private and public sectors. Doctoral graduates generally find em-ployment at research institutes and universities.

MASTER OF ARTS IN PHILOSOPHY (ONE YEAR)

the one-year Ma program covers the major areas of philosophy including axiology, metaphysics and epistemology, and the history of philosophy. the degree is designed for candidates with a four-year bachelor’s degree in philosophy or a related field.

MASTER OF ARTS IN PHILOSOPHY (TwO YEARS)

this program offers training in philosophy and in the history of philosophy along with ex-pertise in a chosen area of research including philosophy of mind; philosophy of religion; and philosophy of language, ethics, and empiricism.

DOcTOR OF PHILOSOPHY IN PHILOSOPHY

the main objective of the doctoral program is to train professionals to pursue academic careers as researchers or university teachers. specializations include history of phi-losophy, moral and political philosophy, metaphysics and epistemology, philosophy of language, and philosophy of mind.

cEu Master’s Degree Fellowships(full or partial) include a full tuition scholar-ship (with a value of €11,000 to €12,000), health insurance, and a monthly stipend to assist with living expenses.
