Present this certificate to Co-op Funeralcare during the funeral arrangement along with proof of an eligible Over 50s Life Insurance policy to be entitled

to the discount towards the funeral cost.

Co-op Members arranging the funeral will receive a £400 discount on the price of the funeral services we provide. Non Co-op Members will receive a £300

discount on the funeral service we provide. Terms and conditions apply.

Discount for Over 50s Life Insurance policy holders Terms and ConditionsDiscount • A discount is available when arranging a funeral with Co-op Funeralcare if the person who has died had an active Over 50s Life

Insurance Policy at the time of death.• The discount is: a. £300 if the person arranging the funeral (the “Arranging Client”) is not a member of our Co-op. b. £400 if the Arranging Client is a member of our Co-op. To benefit from the member discount, the member must present their

membership card when arranging the funeral along with other necessary documents detailed below. c. The £300 non-member discount and the £400 Co-op Member discount will be referred to as “Discount” in these terms.

Eligibility • The person who has died must have an active over 50s life insurance policy in place at the time of death. This means that the policy is paid up to date and has not been cancelled.

• The Arranging Client must present the following when arranging the funeral: a. a completed Co-op Certificate of Entitlement. This may have been completed beforehand by the person who has died or the

Arranging Client can print the Co-op Certificate of Entitlement from the Co-op Funeralcare website and complete it; b. proof that the person who has died had an active over 50s life insurance policy. This may be a copy of the policy claim form or a

copy of the confirmation of a valid claim form from the life insurance provider; and c. the name of the insurance policy provider and the policy number if not detailed on the forms.

Exclusions • The Discount can’t be applied retrospectively and all of the relevant information must be provided before the funeral takes place.• The Discount doesn’t apply to Cremation Without Ceremony, part funerals, community funerals, children’s funerals, Masonry,

Woodland burial plots, Remembrance purchases, contract funerals, any other items invoiced separately to the funeral invoice, third party fees and funeral plans being redeemed.

Payment • The Arranging Client will be responsible for paying for the funeral invoice balance after the Discount is applied to the funeral invoice.

• The Arranging Client is responsible for payment of the funeral invoice even if the balance due is more than the insurance policy.• The Arranging Client is responsible for payment of the funeral invoice within 28 days of the invoice being issued, even if the

policy funds have not been released.• Co-op Funeralcare is not responsible for obtaining funds from the over 50s life insurance provider to pay for the funeral.

General • The Discount cannot be used in conjunction with any other discount, promotion or offer being run by Co-op Funeralcare including exclusive member prices.

• The Discount may not be exchanged for cash.• Co-op Funeralcare reserves the right to withdraw or modify this offer at any time in whole or in part without prior notice and

without liability to any party if it becomes necessary to do so.• The Discount is not available in independent co-operatives such as Central England, East of England, Midcounties, Tamworth,
