CERTIFICATE OF ACCOUNTANCY The UTEP Certificate of Accountancy is for individuals who have a bachelor’s degree in accounting from an AACSB accredited business school and who need to complete the research, communication, and ethics requirements established by the State of Texas to take the national CPA exam. The Certificate of Accountancy program consists of 15 semester credit hours that satisfy the Board’s requirement for research, communication, and ethics.
