Operational applications having short response time needs supports of SDIs

More emphasis should be given to information on the - Availability,- Accessibility- Quality and- Useability of core and thematic spatial data provided by National/Regional/Global Spatial Data Infrastructures

The message:- Pay attention on the GSDI 11 World conference www.gsdi.org/gsdi11 - Contributions to the GSDI SDI Cookbook Wiki by describing the needs and requirements of operational disaster mitigation applications are welcomed- Application using Sensor web technologies and Grid processing needs also SDI support to be really operational. GSDI is logical partner of WGISS to pave the way-SDI best practices were introduced at the GSDI Workshop at last UNGIWG Plenaryby Roger Longhorn-Identification and evaluation of European SDI best practices (the ongoing -eSDI-Net+ project www.esdinetplus.eu ) will be highlighted at GSDI11.
