Red - the colour of luck; red - the colour of passion; red – the colour of love. See in the year of the ox, 2009, by injecting

a little fortune, romance and fire into your life. Go red from head to toe with hair, clothes, bags and

shoes or fill your stomach and your fridge with red-coloured treats to ring in the

Chinese New Year. And if that's not your thing – with Valentines' Day

following fast on the heels of the New Year this year, you will be spoilt for choice.

Accessories are the simplest way t o a d d r e d t o t h e wardrobe and for the colour

shy, make a dramatic splash against a monochromatic palette.

Salvatore Fer ragamo has been making shoes for Hollywood legends

for years and is the perfect place to go for an injection of colour. A wild cherry red open

toe pump with snake skin detail and a 10cm heel should definitely turn heads. For something a little more sedate, a blood red patent leather ballerina flat adds colour without vertiginous height. For a little wickedness mixed with a classic shape – slip your feet into a pair of lipstick red patent leather pumps. A glamorous bow – shaped metal clutch teams with a patent leather belt both in sexy black cherry for the finishing touches.

Gucci offers classic hints of red across their accessories range. Carry all your stuff in a medium tote in the classic Gucci logo print with red leather tr im and handles and sport large red rectangle sunglasses with a G detail as a glam refuge to hide behind after one too many New Year's parties. A smart, casual nautical look can be easily achieved with cotton polo shirts in smart navy and red wide stripes or grab a classic red and white checked cotton shirt. Dear Residents and Tenants,

The dawning of 2008 brought to an end a roller-coaster year of emotions and anxiety – from the devastation of the Sichuan earthquake to the highs of the Summer Olympics. I sincerely thank everyone for your im-mense patience over the past year as we undertook an extensive program to upgrade both our central motor-court and the many hotel facilities at The Portman Ritz-Carlton, Shanghai. We hope you enjoy the results of this transformation.

For 2009, the men and women of Shanghai Centre promise to place continued focus on providing you with the best quality service experience. These are not empty words. Our frontline staff are dressed in modern uniforms and have taken extensive English and service training. Later this year, we will roll out exacting ser-vice standards that all employees are committed to uphold when servicing you. We are busy improving the retail amenities by expanding the City Shop supermarket to a larger space in the basement, relocating the Chaterhouse bookstore next to Starbucks and bringing in new food and beverage concepts. And we are also putting the finishing touches on a new interactive website – one that will allow you to download important information, reserve an apartment, book a tenant facility and sign up for resident activities.

Retailer Section

The Magical School for Wizards is an American interactive magic show adapted from the Hogwarts School of the best seller Harry Potter. The famous US magician Arnie Kolodner will be the master of the Magical School and the young audience will be the students. Arnie's interactive style will enchant children as he weaves amazing magic tricks into favorite fairy tales.

Before coming to Shanghai, the show has been performed frequently on Broadway and toured around Japan and South Korea.
