Our FacilitiesReceptionYou’ll find our open plan reception light and welcoming. Sign up for a course, membership or pay for your activity orsimply find out more about the centre and the activities youcan get involved in.

Swimming PoolOur 17m indoor swimming pool is ideal for bathing, lanetraining and other water based activities and is attached tospacious locker rooms and showering facilities.

Fitness SuiteOur 50 piece fully air-conditioned fitness suite is equipped withstate of the art Technogym resistance and cardiovascularmachines, as well as a free weights area with kettlebells andKinesis machine. All cardiovascular machines have TVconnections and 12 also have integrated visioweb capabilities.

Sports HallOur 4 badminton court sports hall with its beechwood sprungfloor hosts a variety of activities including badminton, 5-a-side football and basketball. It is available for casual use orblock booking. All bookings are for 55 minutes.

Astroturf 3G pitches for pay and play or block bookings are availablefor 7-a-side or 5-a-side games. It is a perfect opportunity fora friendly kick around or a league match. We offer discountedholiday and weekend rates.

GymnasiumThis 2 badminton court sized gymnasium complements thelarger sports hall allowing for basketball, martial arts andsmaller group activities.

Dance Studio and Function RoomAn ideal space for board meetings, training courses andconferences. Link this area to the catering viewing area forthe ideal venue for birthday parties. This area is also used foraerobics and dance classes.

Tennis CourtsFour top quality outdoor floodlit tennis courts are available allyear round to members and casual players.

The Box Café and Viewing GalleryWhether it is to relax and unwind, a meeting for work or tocatch up with friends, our newly refurbished cafe is perfectfor your every need.

So you have decided you want to join,what do you do next?

InductionsAll new members need to book an induction before theycan use the gym. Inductions are available throughoutthe day and can be booked in advance at reception orover the phone. When you book you will be required topay an admin fee to secure your booking. If you want tojoin with family and friends, up to two people can attendthe induction together.

During the induction you will be shown how theequipment works. You will be required to complete amedical questionnaire prior to the induction.

Fitness Assessments and ProgrammeOnce you have joined you may wish to have a FitnessAssessment. This will create a personal programme foryou that can help you to achieve your goals – whetherthat’s toning, weight loss or simply feeling fitter.

The initial assessment will include BMI, heartmeasurements, lung capacity, and anthropomorphicmeasurements. These will be carried out by one of ourfully qualified Fitness Consultants, who will also provideyou with a programme of structured sessions, suited toyour specific needs. Update assessments and revisedprogramme cards will be available with a follow-upappointment. For more information please contact ourFitness Team.

Fitness ClassesOur Fitness Classes include Aqua Zumba, Pump,Bokwa, Circuits and Studio Cycling on our brandnew state of the art spin bikes. All classes areinstructed by our friendly, fully qualifiedinstructors and are open to the general public.

For a full timetable please ask at reception or go towww.chestertonsportscentre.org.uk All classes are to be paid for at the time of booking, no spaces can be reserved without payment. You must cancelyour space with at least 24 hours notice in order to receive a refund, or give at least 2 hours notice in order totransfer your payment to another class. If we are unable to offer the advertised class we will notify all customers whohave booked as soon as possible. Classes can only be booked up to a week in advance.

All casual bookings and Fitness Classes must be paid for at time of booking. Please see separate leaflet for Fitness Class Timetable. Student and Senior usage requires proof of entitlement.Cancellation Policy applies; see Terms and Conditions for further details.

Shop@Chesterton We sell a wide range of pool accessories from goggles to swimming costumes. Our staff will be happy to help you choose the equipment thatsuits your requirements and advise you on your purchase.

Equipment hireDon’t worry if you don't have the equipment you need. We hire out badminton rackets and footballs for a small charge.

BouncyFunDrop In Sessions Our brand new drop in sessions are a great way for little ones who are full of bounce to burn off excess energy. These sessions are for 3-7 year olds who are accompanied by an adult. No need to book, just turn up and pay at reception!

Children’s ActivitiesFitkidzFitkidz sessions are designed to allow 10 - 16 year olds access to the Fitness Suite.All sessions are supervised by a qualified member of staff.

Sessions run Monday to Friday 3.30pm - 4.30pm, and Saturdays from 1pm - 2pm.

Pre-booking is recommended.

PlayschemeOur Playscheme offers maximum flexibility, affordable childcare and,most importantly, fun-packed activity-filled days for your child.

The Playscheme runs from 8.30am - 5.30pm each weekday duringthe holidays and is open to 5 - 12 year olds. You can book yourchild on to a morning session from 8.30am - 1pm or anafternoon session 1pm - 5.30pm.

Each day your child is guaranteed to enjoy a mixture ofsports, games, swimming and crafts. A full programme ofactivities is produced before each holiday and is available fromreception and on our website.

Youth ProgrammeThe youth programme runs during each term and offers a range of sporting activitiesfor children between the ages of 4 and 15 years old. Basketball, tennis, badminton,synchronised swimming, football, judo and trampolining are just a few of the greatactivities on offer, along with our Fitkidz sessions in the fitness suite.

Prices and dates of the programme can be obtained on the Youth Programme Notice Board or in separate leaflets displayed in the Sports Centre.

Swimming lesson check list1. Your child needs to be ready, in their swimwear promptly for the start of their

lesson, no sooner than 5 minutes before the lesson commences.2. Children must wait quietly in the changing rooms while they are waiting for their

lesson to commence .3. Children or Parents must not enter poolside unless an instructor or lifeguard is

present.4. Entry to and from poolside must be made via the changing rooms.5. Parents are only allowed on poolside to drop off and collect children from the

swimming lesson. You may watch from the balcony.6. Please do not coach your child from this area, it distracts their concentration

from the teacher.7. Please ensure your children are closely supervised at all times in the changing

rooms and spectator area.

Swimming LessonsOur swimming lessons have been carefully designed to offer the higheststandards of swimming teaching. Working in partnership with the ASA,swimming lessons adhere to the national plan for teaching swimming.

Professional teachersOur teachers are all ASA qualified and attend required training courses as part ofcontinued professional development to keep them up to date with latestinformation and teaching techniques.

ASA National Swimming AwardsOnce your child has completed their level a badge and certificate can bepurchased at a small cost.

The StagesWe run classes ranging from Ducklings 5 to Stage 9. See opposite for details.

How to enrolEach term current participants in swimming lessons have priority to re-enrol on tothe next course.
