Class on the days and at the times specified in this syllabus (unless otherwise informed by the instructor).
Absences need to be discussed with instructor prior to absence unless it is an emergency situation. All
written assignments will be turned in as directed by the instructor. Late assignments will not be accepted!
You must do all learning activities and take exams as scheduled above. If for any reason youre unable to be
present on the tests days it is your responsibility to discuss with the instructor a time to make up the test or
assignments missed. This course is occupationally related and serves as a preparation for a career in the

If at any time you do not understand a reading assignment, module or lad work, ask your instructor for
assistance. Your instructor is here for you!
Class Attendance and Course Progress
Regular and punctual class attendance at all scheduled classes is expected. You are responsible for all
course material missed due to absence.
Instructors may choose to lower a students grade because of tardiness. Excessive tardiness is disruptive
to the educational process and may result in disciplinary action.
Due process and the right to appeal will be provided to students subject to disciplinary action.
Students are expected to attend each class period, be on time and stay the full class period or be counted
absent.
Only instructors can authorize an excused absence. Regardless of the reason for the absence, the student
is responsible for completing all coursework covered during any absence.
More than TWO unexcused absences can result in a failing grade. It will be the instructors decision to either
do an administrative withdrawal or give you an F for the course. EITHER WAY, YOU WILL PAY FOR
THE COURSE. The instructor WILL NOT contact you regarding missed classes/work.
-
An instructor may initiate an administrative withdrawal if a student fails to meet the attendance
requirements or is not making satisfactory progress toward the course objectives. The instructor may
assign a grade of FN or XN at the time of the administrative withdrawal.
Failure to meet the attendance requirements in a course may result in a lower grade or failure in the
course.
Excessive Absences
Students may also be administratively withdrawn from any class when their absences exceed a total of
three class meetings for an 8-week course and; in the opinion of the instructor, the student cannot
