Starting a big project is like looking at a hill with some clouds near the top. “That looks like a fun climb. I can do that.” Things start off great, but what happens when you break through the clouds and suddenly discover that your “hill” is actu-ally a mountain? In this seminar, violin maker Joe Kaufeld recounts how this sim-ple decision to learn how to play the violin turned into an epic quest to build the world’s fi rst acrylic acoustic violin. He shares what he learned about staying fo-cused and productive when a hill-sized project becomes a mountain of adventure.
