Central New England Region Annual Meeting Minutes November 17, 2019 Present: Arianna Barnes (Old North Bridge), Amanda Ellis (RS, Full Circle), Kirsten Flemming (Squamscott PC), Kristie Gill (Mega-Zone Coordinator, NHPC), Susan Hannah (Wentworth PC), Liz Hoyt (Champs Coordinator, Atlantic PC), Lara Hubner (Rockingham PC), Tina Hurley (True North RC), Stephanie Infante (HMO, Full Circle), Donna LaPierre (VRS, Groton PC), Karen Marcotte (RIC, Rockingham PC), Emma Newman (Groton PC), Tim Newman (Treasurer, Groton PC), Sandy Niles (Secretary, NHPC), Judy O’Neil (Full Circle RC) Meeting was called to order at 1:20pm I The RS welcomed all present and General Introductions were made 1. Report of the Regional Supervisor on Activities and General Financial Status (See Attached) The region now has 11 clubs and 7 centers, up from 8 clubs and 4 centers in 2016. We welcomed two new centers this year – Sea Star Stables and Twingate. Heather Dostal is now the chair for the national committee on Riding Centers. She noted that on average, if we have 6 clubs and/or centers inquiring at this time of year, by the time they get through the process of learning more about Pony Club and what is involved we generally have one new center that will see the process to completion. 2. Report of the Treasurer (See Attached) Tim Newman commented that he would like to see budgets developed for rallies this year and he is happy to help any organizers with this process. For Fundraising in the region, we will continue with the omnibus. It raised approximately $800 last year and spread the work throughout the clubs. The region is very grateful for the work that Andrea Crespi, Sue Shiels and Sue’s daughter, Elizabeth put into the project. Tim has projected a 5% increase in budgets for 2020 but acknowledged that this is just an arbitrary amount and that his goal for the year would be to work out more “intelligent” budgeting going forward. After a lengthy conversation about Championships and not being able to re-imburse members for fees last year, Lara Hubner received word from National office that we may reimburse this year. The region will be looking for numbers of potential

We welcomed two new centers this year – Sea Star Stables and Twingate. Heather Dostal is now the chair for the national committee on Riding Centers. She

For Fundraising in the region, we will continue with the omnibus. It raised approximately $800 last year and spread the work throughout the clubs. The region is very grateful for the work that Andrea Crespi, Sue Shiels and Sue’s daughter, Elizabeth put into the project. Tim has projected a 5% increase in budgets for 2020 but acknowledged that this is just an arbitrary amount and that his goal for the year would be to work out more “intelligent” budgeting going forward. interest from its members to start to plan what we would offer our members in 2020. The RS proposed that we circulate the 2020 budget at a later date once the treasurer has had a chance to work with rally organizers to make a plan. This met with general agreement by all present.

3. Regional Administrator and Advisor Reports

a. Report from the HMO, see attached One note, that our games rally is attended by several surrounding regions and they look forward to it every year and plan around it.
