Key Accomplishments

Project Hometown resulted in an unprecedented commitment to make multiple cultural, educational, and entertainment venues a reality for the people who call Central Florida “home.”

America’s best data-driven growth compact – “How Shall We Grow?” – has been adopted and utilized by 86 cities across seven county jurisdictions.

Vote No on Amendment 4 signaled our community’s ability to evaluate and defeat the most business- and jobs-oppressive initiative in decades.

Open for Business, an initiative of seamless permitting and customer service, is reaching into ever more jurisdictions.

When a county in our region was made a test bed for confusing and anti-business initiatives, voices and research were mobilized and the paid sick leave petition was defeated.

Florida’s Strategic Plan for Economic Development relies on the best practices and sustainable growth output of myregion.org.

The Partnership is the managing partner for our Region’s Values Study.

America’s pilot program for a direct-elected chair of a major-scale school board became a reality in Orange County.

SunRail, the long-anticipated commuter rail line, is now a reality with the first phase opened on May 1, 2014 – connecting 12 stations through 3 counties and giving commuters a new option for mobility in our region.

In partnership with the Central Florida Commission on Homelessness, the Partnership led a community-wide, public-private initiative resulting in commitments of $25 million to support best practice solutions for chronic homelessness, such as permanent supportive housing for those living on the streets due to mental or physical disability.
