Private Lessons

The Center for Musical Development has a faculty of skilled music educators who are highly qualified and have a sincere interest in teaching.

INSTRUCTION IS AVAILABLE FOR:

Keyboards: piano, organ, Suzuki piano

Strings: violin, viola, cello and bass, Suzuki strings

Guitars: electric, classical, acoustic, bass and lute

Wind instruments: flute, piccolo, clarinet, saxophone,bassoon, trumpet and french horn

Voice

Percussion: drum set, mallets and hand drums

RATES PER LESSON:

30 minutes: $18

45 minutes: $27

60 minutes: $36

FOR THE OLDER STUDENT:

Beginning Piano, ages 12–Adult

Students learn to read music, musical notation, rhythms, and vocabulary in our new state -of-the- art piano lab. Lots of enjoyment guaranteed! Textbook for the class is “The Older Beginner Piano Course” WP 32 by James Bastien.

Classes meet Fridays, 6:30 to 7:15 p.m.

Place: Krieg Hall Room 301

Dates: March 21 – May 9, 2014

Cost: $101 (includes registration fee) for eight weeks

Spring 2014 Classes FOR ALL AGES:

Beginning GuitarHave you always wanted to learn to play the guitar? Learn to execute notes, rhythm and harmony. Each student needs their own instrument and a blank manuscript book.

Classes meet Tuesdays, 5:30 to 6:30 p.m.

Place: Krieg Hall Room 229

Dates: March 18 – April 22, 2014

Cost: $101 (includes registration fee) for six weeks

FOR THE YOUNG STUDENT:

Beginning Piano for Elementary Age Students, grades K-6

Now is a great time to learn to play the piano. We are offering piano lessons in a small group setting. Learn to read music and musical notation, find keyboard landmarks and play rhythms. Students will learn to play the piano in our new state-of-the-art piano lab. Please purchase Bastien Basic Piano Primer Book $6.95 (Pink book) for the class.

Classes meet Thursdays, 3:45 to 4:30 p.m.

FOR ALL AGES: Voice Class

Work on your vocal skills this Spring. The goal is to help you sing properly so you will be able to use your voice for many years. Learn to warm up, use proper diction and breathing to perform songs chosen by the teacher and by you.
