Cenergi EE | Case Studies ____________________________________________________

International Islamic University Malaysia (IIUM), Gombak Campus, Selangor (2016)

October 24th, 2016 was the date on which Cenergi entered an agreement with International Islamic

University Malaysia (IIUM) to collaborate on the design and implementation of clean energy projects

such as energy efficiency and renewable energy programs for IIUM’s campuses. During this event,

Cenergi EE Sdn Bhd signed an Energy Savings Performance Agreement (ESPA) with IIUM in order

to be able to design, procure, install, operate and maintain energy saving equipment. This initiative

represents IIUM’s first plan under its sustainability program to reduce the institution’s carbon

emissions through efficient energy management. On average, the project guarantees electricity

savings of up to 33.53% per year for IIUM.

AEON (2013)

Cenergi is involved in implementing energy conservation projects with retail corporate group AEON

in three of its outlets namely AEON AU2 Setiawangsa (Kuala Lumpur), AEON Bandaraya (Melaka)

and AEON Bukit Indah (Johor). These energy efficiency projects are aimed at reducing the client’s

electricity consumption without interrupting operations and compromising the level of comfort

experienced at their respective premises. From this initiative, reductions achieved on electrical

billing were guaranteed to be 20% - 25% less than business as usual scenarios.

The collaboration with AEON is supported by a 7-year Energy Conservation Program Agreement

(ECPA) through which savings on electricity are shared between Cenergi and the client at agreed

ratios of 80:20 and 70:30. Maintenance and Services will also be provided throughout the ECPA

tenure for all energy saving equipment installed. _____________________________________________________________________________________
