All you need to know about commercial logistics

In 2014 CeMAT will demonstrate once again why it is the world’s leading trade fair for intralogistics. With its vast but clearly laid out array of exhibits, it offers visitors a concentrated overview of the current market. And this time exhi bitors can present their products and services under six new user topic headings, aimed at specific branches of industry. In addition to these presentation options exhibitors can contribute to various group display stands or forums, which address themes such as commerce or production logistics.

The new format is CeMAT’s response to changing market needs – and it means that you will reach even more top decisionmakers and visiting industry professionals, who come to Hannover in search of specific solutions in their own area of application.

New CeMAT schedule: once every 2 years

Starting in 2014, CeMAT moves to a twoyear cycle, offering new business incentives and market opportunities. So with shorter intervals between shows, you’ll be able to use this international platform to develop more new sales leads than ever before. The greater frequency of CeMAT is also a response to shorter innovation cycles in industry.

Events staged ahead of CeMAT 2014

In 2012 and 2013 a number of events will be taking place, including the CeMAT Port Forum, CeMAT@transport logistic and the Logistics IT group display at CeBIT. Attendance at these events will not only prepare the ground for your presentation at CeMAT 2014, but will also alert your potential customers ahead of the main event – and encourage them to visit the show in Hannover.

Valuable synergies for your business

The shipment of bulk cargo, general cargo, pharmaceuticals, hazardous materials and waste products demands careful organization in each case, and each requires its own specialized intralogistics solution. Nearly 4,500 visitors at CeMAT 2011 were specifically looking for innovations designed to simplify the complex processing sequence in these areas of application.

CeMAT 2014 will be providing full coverage of this topic area. The Special Logistics Forum, whose sponsors include trade journal CHE Manager and the Conference on Bulk Goods Handling Technology, will be taking place alongside the featured topic areas “Port” and “Transport Logistics”. As well as the Forum there will be an Industry Meeting Point, from where interested visitors can set out on guided tours of the show, or cultivate and extend their network of contacts. All this forms an ideal setting for the presentation of your products and services.

Moving goods by sea is an ecofriendly and relatively inexpensive mode of transport. This makes it very attractive to businesses worldwide, however the higher freight volumes have also created significant logistical challenges.

We invite you to present your innovations designed to meet these challenges under the user topic heading “Port”. Located close to the Port Forum, where visiting professionals and industry experts will be sharing their knowledge, you’ll also benefit from crossover visitor traffic from the displays of cranes and hoists, goods handling systems and transport logistics.

In 2011 CeMAT attracted nearly 6,500 visitors working in port handling and logistics technology. The Port Forum was successfully staged in Wilhelmshaven in 2012, and the next Forum is already planned for 2013 – all of which is likely to swell the audience for portrelated themes and technologies at CeMAT 2014.

Efficiency is the aim of all innovative companies in transport logistics. That’s why it is one of the user topics at CeMAT 2014. In 2011 a total of 11,000 visitors at the show declared an interest in this topic area.

So in 2014 CeMAT will be teaming up with “transport logistic” – the internationally acknowledged trade fair for logistics, mobility, IT and supply chain management staged in Munich – to present the group display “Transport Logistics”. And in 2013 CeMAT offers you the opportunity to take part in its group display at “transport logistic” in Munich – the perfect way to prepare for your presentation the following year at CeMAT 2014 in Hannover.

At CeMAT the group display stand will be loca ted in the thematically related MANAGE & SERVICE area, which will give added prominence to your own presentation and help you access new customer target groups. A further highlight will be the joint expert forum, which also features coverage of “Port” and “Special Logistics”.

Profile your company and show what you can do under the user topic heading “Production Logis tics”, where the visiting trade public – 17,600 visi tors in 2011 – is keen to see your solutions for justintime production, efficient outsourcing or successful smallbatch production.

A particularly attractive presentation option will be the project “Intralogistik zum Anfassen!”, a joint initiative involving BIBA* and IDH/VVL**, which aims to bring the entire logistics chain to life at CeMAT.

You’ll also benefit from the fact that “Intralogistik zum Anfassen!” is strategically located close to the display areas PICK & PACK and LOGISTICS IT. Here for example visitors will find displays of AutoID/RFID and identification technologies for packaging logistics. These issues, along with IT solutions for the logistics industry, will be discussed in an accompanying innovations forum.

CeMAT is teaming up with Hamburg Logistics Days, the annual logistics conference where industry experts gather to discuss the latest trends in logistics for the retail and consumer goods industry. With the collaboration of the renowned EHI Retail Institute, CeMAT will now be staging the exciting user topic “Retail” at the 2014 show too. A total of 11,000 visitors from the retail sector attended the previous show in 2011.

An Industry Meeting Point and a program of guided tours will ensure that you meet the industry’s most important decisionmakers here. The location in the technology area STORE & LOAD – with its obvious relevance for the commercial sector – means that you are sure to make additional business contacts!

Joint forum on warehousing technology

The user topic “Retail” is further explored in platform discussions and lectures by guest speakers in the Warehousing Technology Forum, which is organized in conjunction with Germany’s Association for Warehousing Technology and Factory Equipment.

Likewise located in Hall 13 in the STORE & LOAD presentation area, the Forum is the perfect complement to your displays of products and systems.

The project “Intralogistik zum Anfassen!” (see user topic “Production Logistics”) is also of pivotal significance for the focus topic “Education & Career” in Hall 12. For young people contemplating a career in intralogistics, nothing could be more exciting than the opportunity to see every stage of the logistics chain up close and live!

This innovative centre in Hall 12 makes an ideal launch pad for your targeted recruitment drive. In the runup to CeMAT you’ll have the option of taking part in our online job market, while at the show you’ll be able to meet the industry’s top young talents in person. You can also take part in our program of guided tours, which start from the Intralogistics Campus. The Campus is also situated in the Education & Career section of the show.

Your recruitment efforts will be aided by the presence of various universities and colleges, industry associations and logistics initiatives, which will also have stands in Hall 12. They will be inviting school pupils and students to CeMAT 2014.

Group presentation “Platformers’ World” Group presentation “Logistics IT”

Back in 2011 CeMAT played host to “Platformers’ World”. In 2014 you can once again present your latest developments in mobile lifting and access equipment as part of this group display.

In addition, of course, it’s a great opportunity to meet fellow industry experts and do some useful networking. “Platformers’ World” can be found in the MOVE & LIFT presentation area of the openair site.

The growing importance of communications technologies in the logistics and intralogis tics industry offers huge potential for new sales. More and more decisionmakers are recognizing the competitive advantages gained from installing intel ligent logistics IT.

The group presentation “Logistics IT” is the perfect platform for presenting your innovations and solutions in this field to IT professionals looking to buy new systems for their company. The presentation was successfully premiered at CeBIT 2012, and CeBIT will again be hosting the successor event in 2013. This is where ICT technologies meet intralogistics.

At CeMAT 2014 you can not only present your solutions under the selected user topic headings, where they are targeted at a specific audience – you can also use the various group presentations within the different display categories as a platform for your business.
