Since 1967, Fives Celes has designed and manufactured a large range of power inverters for induction heating.
CELES MP 25-50 inverters have a parallel oscillating circuit. These solid state inverters are perfect for applications whose frequencies are between 1kHz and 400kHz with power between 25kW and 50kW. For the very high frequency applications the suitable inver-ter runs at frequencies between 400kHz to 1000kHz with a power limited to 12kW or 25kW.
This range of inverter covers the needs of most medium power induction heating applications.
Working Flexibility Power Supply ControlLarge impedance range The CELES MP 25-50 inverters delivers their full power over a very wide impedance range. Depending on the inverter’s type, it can deliver full power from 75% to 133% of its rated impedance.
This flexibility allows the inverter to be used for a wide range of applications without having to make any adjustments or to cope with some changes of the heated parts characte- ristics.
Wide frequency rangeThe working frequency range of the inverters covers all fre-quencies between 25% and 100% of their rated frequency. The power source can therefore heat up a full range of products with the same inductor and without any changes in the capacitor matching station.
Its high versatility enabled CELES MP to become over years one of the preferred inverters of research laboratories, where by nature the oscillating circuits and the applications are explorative and incremental.
Wide range of control modes The CELES MP can be remotely controlled by analog inputs and it has several internal control modes :- Output power set point - Oscillating circuit voltage set point (option)- Output power as a function of the heated part translation

CONTROL OF YOUR HEATING PROCESS
Solid and reproducible processes are possible thanks to pre-set heating recipes. CELES IS has several control modes:
Power regulation. Inductor current regulation. Power = A x Speed + B type for continuous moving application.Temperature regulation with pyrometer or thermocouple power control.
All heating data storage with Ethernet link or SD card.
User friendly Man Machine Interface:Color touch screen. Simultaneous display of power, voltage, current and frequency readings.Display of set point, alarms, etc.

TOWARDS AN OPTIMAL INTEGRATION
Low energy consumption Energy saving has always been one of Fives Celes major concerns:
Patented high flux technology. R & D on induction energy efficiency. Optimization of the heatstation design in order to commute the minimum active power.
Beside energy savings on the power supply Fives Celes defines the oscillating circuit, the capacitor bank and the inductors to be low energy consumers. The quality and care during Fives Celes equipment manufacturing ensures a return on investment during the entire life span of the installation.
100 % power supplies tested before deliveryFor every application the full oscillating circuit (power inverter, heatstation and inductor) is tested on Fives Celes platform at full power and full current. To avoid eventual hot points the monitoring with a thermographic camera is often done.Performing those tests plus the pre-acceptance at Fives Celes provides for easy integration of the equipment and years of reliable production.
Good network connection CELES IS power supplies are mostly connected to facility incoming power at 400 V, 480 V or 690 V +/- 10% (other possible voltages can be provided as an option).For high power requirements twelve phase network connections are provided. The power control of the CELES IS power supplies are warranted to have a network cos phi greater than 0.92 for three phase connection and greater than 0.96 for twelve-phase connection.

Celes IS power supply is a static frequency converter designed by FIVES CELES for most demanding induction heating applications in various industries. ADAPTABILITY TO YOUR PRODUCTS
Modular designModular high power inverter bridges allow to built any configuration. By adjusting parameters on the universal control board, the inverter bridge can heat any type of parts.Power supply adaptation to the load no matter the oscillating circuit frequency, the impedance and the power range.
PWM Mode - Selection of the frequency In some case the power supply control mode allows to work without using load matching capacitors. The frequency necessary for the process load is then determined by the power supply controlled with Pulse Width Modulation. To know if your process fits PWM conditions please contact us.
Fast power output changesCELES IS control mode allows for adjusting power output in a few milliseconds. This capability fits for use in specific heat treatment applications and in very dynamic heating situations.
Full power before and after Curie pointFives Celes impedance self-adaptation system allows to inject full power in the heated part even though geometric or physical features of the product might vary. A typical variation of the load impedance is the Curie point path, when steel becomes amagnetic the chart here under shows that the power output is constant.

Ease of maintenanceThe CELES MP 75-100 inverters have been designed for easy maintenance by the user. The control board design of the chopper bridges and inverter bridges enables their quick replacement.
Intensive Operating Rate The quipment has been designed to work 24 hours a day at full power in either continuous or sequential industrial conditions.
High Efficiency Celes MP power supplies have an efficiency over 90%. Well compensated matching boxes and 3D designed inductors perfectly suitable to the application will complement the CELES MP 75-100 performances to delivery the optimum heating efficiency.
Cold crucible Melting with a CELES MP100 inverter
Since 1967, Fives Celes has designed and manufactured a large range of power inverters for induction heating.
CELES MP 75-100 inverters have a parallel oscillating circuit. These solid state inverters are perfect for applications whose frequencies are between 1kHz and 400kHz with power between 75kW and 100kW. For the very high frequency applications the suitable inverter runs at frequencies between 400kHz to 1000kHz with a power limited to 50kW.
This range of inverter covers the needs of most medium-high power induction heating applications.
Working Flexibility Power Supply ControlLarge impedance range The CELES MP 75-100 inverters deliver their full power over a very wide impedance range. Depending on the inverter’s type, it can deliver full power from 75% to 133% of its rated impedance.
This flexibility allows the inverter to be used for a wide range of applications without having to make any adjustments or to cope with some changes of the heated parts characte- ristics.
Wide frequency rangeThe working frequency range of the inverters covers all fre-quencies between 25% and 100% of their rated frequency. The power source can therefore heat up a full range of products with the same inductor and without any changes in the capacitor matching station.
Its high versatility enabled CELES MP to become over years one of the preferred inverters of research laboratories, where by nature the oscillating circuits and the applications are explorative and incremental.
Wide range of control modes The CELES MP can be remotely controlled by analog inputs and it has several internal control modes :- Output power set point - Oscillating circuit voltage set point (option)- Output power as a function of the heated part translation
speed- Temperature set point with temperature measurement
(option)
The response times of the power circuits allow impulse heating of a few tenth of a second with levels of power perfectly mastered.
