    The Celebration of New Ministry is the time when the community as a whole

    celebrates the covenant they make with their Rector to live into their various

    ministries with the support of one another. It is also the opportunity to install their

    new Rector.

    In this service not only will the Bishop welcome the new Rector, he will also give a

    charge to the parish, remining them of the gifts an responsibilities given them

    in Baptism. !ence the service emphasi"es the mutual ministry of clergy an

    people as they embark on a new ministry together.

    #hile the $piscopal Church, as with all churches roote in the historic Christian

    faith, a%rms that the sacrament of Baptism is the ancient an normative entry

    point for receiving the sacrament of !oly $ucharist, or communion, we also

    believe that anyone who esires to receive the boy an bloo of our &or is

    always welcome at 'o(s table. #herever you are on your spiritual )ourney, we

    invite you to e*plore with us what being bapti"e means for your life. If you wantto know more, please speak to one of the clergy.
