The East Coast USA Pageant is for girls and women of all ages and is a fun family oriented event! For children 0-11 years old there is no make-up permitted. Please see our rules and guidelines. Contestants 12 years old and up may wear make-up. We offer a wide range of age divisions for children and adults. You will not be one of hundreds in your age division when you come to the East Coast USA Pageant. We accept no more than 25 contestants per age division at our National pageant. Come to a pageant where everybody knows your name! We are a family run organization that keeps pageantry a family affair to celebrate!

We open up many opportunities for our contestants from getting involved with modeling, going on fantastic appearances and so much more. We recognize every contestant’s participation by giving them recognition onstage and awarding prizes as well as a beautiful custom rhinest`one tiara at our National Finals Pageant regardless of their placement. BEAUTY COMPETITIONThis is your time to shine! All contestants will compete in this competition. Contestants will do a simple walk on the stage. The stage will be in the shape of a T crossing at the back. There will be four X’s marked on the stage. Please see diagram. Contestant should stop at each X marked on the stage and turn at either all of the X’s or the ones of their choosing. All contestants up to age 11 yrs. can wear a short or long dress. NO CUPCAKE STYLE GLITZ DRESSES. Ages 12 yrs. and over should wear a floor length evening gown. Judging will be based on facial beauty, stage presence personality and overall appeal.Contestants Ages 0-11 years are not permitted to wear any make-up. Clear lip gloss and clear mascara are allowed only. They are not allowed to use false tanning, eyelashes, flippers, falls, wiglets or hair pieces when competing in any of the onstage events. If your child wears braids or hair extensions in their hair as part of their EVERYDAY look that is OK to compete with at East Coast USA. We also understand that some children have medical conditions that require them to wear a hair piece. Please bring this to the attention of the director for assistance. Contestants are checked to make sure they are following the guidelines before they go on-stage.

GROUP LINE UPEach age division will come onstage together before they compete individually. They will line up across the back of the stage and smile for the judges as they score the beauty side awards. This also gives the judges a chance to access the group as a whole. Mr. Tim Whitmer our emcee will perform and sing to the contestants when they are on-stage.Baby & Toddler Contestants ages 0-5 years will have an emcee card read about them when they are onstage. A parent, sibling or friend of each toddler contestant 0-3 yrs. is allowed on stage with them at all times.

ON-STAGE INTRODUCTIONAll contestants ages 6 years and up will give a simple introduction of themselves to the audience and judges during the beauty competition. Contestants should say their name, where they are from, their hobbies or interests and their ambition for the future. They will be handed the microphone on the first X on-stage, say their speech, hand the microphone back and proceed with their walk. This will account for about 10% of their beauty competition score.

SPEECH EXAMPLESFor a Child “Hello my name is Lily Handler and I’m 6 years old from Northport, New York. I love dance and theater class. When I grow up I would like to be an astronaut or a doctor!”For an Adult “Good afternoon my name is Elizabeth Percy coming to you from Union Beach, New Jersey. I enjoy performing in my community theater, volunteering for Hurricane Sandy relief and camping with my family and friends. My dream for the future is to land a roll on Broadway and continue to make a difference in my community!”Time Limit: 2 minutesWe provide the music for the beauty competitionand all of the on-stage competitions.

OPTIONAL EVENTSTo qualify for our Supreme titles contestants must compete in the beauty competition and three optional events at the National Finals. One of the optional events must be onstage for example: Runway. We offer six different optional events to choose from. Choose the ones that are best for you! We will awards winners for each one in each age division. If you compete in more than then minimum of optional events to qualify for Supreme titles, only your HIGHEST SCORES will be used towards your Supreme Score.

ONSTAGE OPTIONAL EVENT: RUNWAYThis is a free style runway modeling event. Attire should be a trendy “boutique” outfit or a high fashion “vogue” look. Choose an outfit that showcases your personality. This is your chance to show the judges your unique style and have fun! The stage will remain a T shape and the music will be fast and upbeat.Contestants should stop at each X on the stage, strike a pose, turn and/or show some personality! Hand held props may be used. Judging will be based on personality, modeling ability and overall appearance.Time Limit: 1 minuteWe supply the music.

ONSTAGE OPTIONAL EVENT: SWIMWEAR OR FITNESS WEARThis is a free style modeling event. Swimsuits can be a one or two pieces for contestant’s ages 12 years old and up but must be a one piece for contestants 0-11 years. A one piece is a solid piece of fabric throughout the front of the swimsuit. No cut outs or sheer material sewn on to try and resemble a two piece please. Under no circumstance is the stomach to show on a contestant 0-11 years. Children 0-11 years should go barefoot or wear sandals and contestants ages 12 years and up may wear sandals or heels. For Fitness Wear attire can be any outfit that represents an activity that you do to stay in shape! Some examples are aerobic wear, a sports uniform or a dance costume. We will no longer be allowing flips, cartwheels or round offs in fitness routines. For dancers we encourage you to wear your dancing attire and you can do “dance moves” at each X however we are not looking for a talent routine. This is a modeling event.

ONSTAGE OPTIONAL EVENT: PATRIOTIC WEARThis is a FREE style modeling event. Show us your American spirit! Attire should include the colors red, white and blue. The stage will remain a T shape and the music will be fast and upbeat.Contestants should stop at each X on the stage, strike a pose, turn and/or show some personality!Hand held props may be used. Judging will be based on personality, creativity, stage presence and overall appeal.Time Limit: 1 minuteWe supply the music.

OFF STAGE OPTIONAL EVENT: PHOTOGENICPhoto Sizes: 8-10” or 8.5-11” This should be a professional head shot. It can be black and white or color. You will bring your photo with you to registration with your full name and age on the back. Light make up is allowed by all ages for your head shots. Photos may be lightly retouched, cropped and/or have lighting adjusted.NO “GLITZ” PHOTOS PLEASE. Judging will be based on personality projection, facial beauty, overall appeal, quality and clarity. Photos WILL be returned.

OFF STAGE OPTIONAL EVENT: PRINT MODELPhoto Sizes: 8-10” or 8.5-11” This should be a professional full length photo. We are looking for a photo that captures your personality and your personal style. It can be black and white or color.You will bring your photo with you to registration

with your full name and age on the back. Light make up is allowed by all ages for your photo. Photos may be lightly retouched, cropped and/or have lighting adjusted. NO “GLITZ” PHOTOS PLEASE. Judging will be based on personal style, personality projection, facial beauty, overall appeal, quality and clarity.

OFF STAGE OPTIONAL EVENT: INTERVIEWShow your true personality and charm the judges in a personal panel style interview. Judges will ask contestants a variety of age appropriate questions. Judging will be based on personality and overall presentation.Time Limit: 3 minutes

TALENT COMPETITION INFORMATIONThe East Coast USA Talent Competition is a separate competition and does not count toward your Supreme Score for the main pageant. There are different age divisions for talent. They are Youth 5-7 yrs., Junior 8-10 yrs., Pre- Teen 11-13 yrs., Teen 14-16 yrs. and Adult 17 yrs. & up. There will be a three minute time limit. There will be a winner in each age division. Each age division winner will receive a beautiful crown and banner. The highest scoring contestant out of all the talent contestants will be awarded the East Coast USA Performer of the Year title. They will win a beautiful crown, banner, special award and a $500.00 U.S. Savings Bond.

MOTHER AND DAUGHTERCOMPETITION INFORMATIONThe East Coast USA Mother and Daughter competition has always been the audience favorite! This event is a completely separate competition. This is a lot of fun and requires only that you and your child walk the stage together and answer a simple on-stage question in front of the judges. The Mother and Daughter winners will receive gorgeous crowns and banners and the experience will create memories that will last a lifetime! It’s only required that one of the contestants either the child or mother be registered as a contestant in the pageant.

FATHER AND DAUGHTERCOMPETITION INFORMATIONThe East Coast USA Father and Daughter competition will continue again this year! This event is a completely separate competition. This is a lot of fun and requires only that the father and child walk the stage together and answer a simple on-stage question in front of the judges. The Father and Daughter winners will receive gorgeous crowns and banners and the experience will create memories that will last a lifetime! It’s only required that the child be registered as a contestant in the pageant.

MODEL SEARCHAll contestants while participating at the East Coast USA Pageant will be involved in a model search. Some of our judges and some special people in the audience representing modeling and talent agencies will be attending our national competition looking for new faces. Contestants selected will be contacted directly.

SEPARATE COMPETITIONS

EAST COAST USA ULTIMATE GRAND SUPREMEThe contestant with the highest combined scores from the beautycompetition and their highest scoring three optional events (must includeat least one onstage modeling event) in the whole pageant will be crownedthe East Coast USA Ultimate Grand Supreme! They will never forget thismoment as over 1,000 beautiful balloons will fall down upon them and sheis crowned the overall winner! This lucky contestant will win a $2500.00U.S. Savings Bond they will also be awarded a large beautiful crown,custom satin embroidered sash, national recognition and the opportunity toparticipate in a year filled with exciting appearances!

(3) EAST COAST USA GRAND SUPREME WINNERSThe contestants in 0-5 yrs., 6-11 yrs. and 12 yrs. and up with the highestcombined scores from the beauty competition and their highest scoringthree optional events (must include at least one onstage modeling event)will be crowned the East Coast USA Grand Supreme. They will eachreceive $1500.00 U.S. Savings Bond, a large beautiful crown, banner,national recognition and the opportunity to participate in a year filled withexciting appearances!

(3) EAST COAST USA MINI SUPREME WINNERSThe contestants in 0-5 yrs., 6-11 yrs. and 12 yrs. and up with the secondhighest combined scores from the beauty competition and their highestscoring three optional events (must include at least one onstage modelingevent) will be crowned the East Coast USA Mini Supreme. They will eachreceive $1000.00 U.S. Savings Bond, a large beautiful crown, banner,national recognition and the opportunity to participate in a year filled withexciting appearances!

(13) EAST COAST USA DIVISIONAL BEAUTY WINNERSThe highest Beauty Competition score will determine the queens. We willaward a Beauty Queen in every age division. They will each receive a largebeautiful crown, a satin embroidered banner, a nice gift package, nationalrecognition and the opportunity to participate in a year filled with excitingappearances!

EAST COAST USA DIVISIONAL RUNNER UPSWe will award 4 Runner Ups to each Beauty Queen in every age division.They will receive an award, gift and national recognition in front of the hugeNational audience!

EAST COAST USA OPTIONAL EVENT WINNERSWe will award a winner for each optional event in each age division. Theywill receive an award, nice gift and national recognition in front of the hugeNational audience!

EAST COAST USA AMBASSADOR, MISS CONGENIALITY & HOSTESSWe will be awarding an Ambassador and Miss Congeniality title. Thereare no additional entry fees for these awards and all contestants will beconsidered for these awards. The Hostess title is awarded to the contestantwho has sold the most advertisement pages in the national program book.Winners will receive a beautiful crown, satin embroidered banner, gift, theopportunity to participate in a year filled with exciting appearances andrecognition in front of a huge national audience!

MOTHER/DAUGHTER AWARDSWe will be awarding an East Coast USA Mother/Daughter award. This awardis given to the highest scoring Mother/Child duo in our Mother/ DaughterCompetition. The winners will receive beautiful crowns, satin embroideredbanners, a nice gift, recognition in front of a huge national audience and theopportunity to participate in a year filled with exciting appearances!

FATHER/DAUGHTER AWARDSWe will be awarding an East Coast USA Father/Daughter award. This awardis given to the highest scoring Father/Daughter duo in this competition. Thewinners will receive beautiful crowns, satin embroidered banners, a nicegift, recognition in front of a huge national audience and the opportunity toparticipate in a year filled with exciting appearances!

TALENT COMPETITION AWARDSWe will be awarding a talent winner in each age division. Talent winners willreceive a beautiful crystal crown, satin embroidered banner and recognitionin front of a huge national audience! We will also be awarding the EastCoast Performer of the Year! This title will be given to the highest scoringtalent contestant. They will receive $500.00 U.S. Savings Bond, a beautifulcrown, satin banner and recognition in front of a huge national audience!

PRIZES

JUDGESThe East Coast USA Pageant uses very qualified and experienced judges at our national event. Some of the judges will be representing modeling and talent agencies looking for new faces. Contestants and judges will be staying in the same hotel for the weekend. We ask that if you recognize a judge and see them in the hotel during pageant weekend you refrain from talking to them. A simple “hello”, is OK but nothing more please. We appreciate your cooperation.

THE “BUMPING SYSTEM”For all that are not familiar with the “Bumping System”, it is a system used to pull the supreme winners from winning the other titles. The East Coast USA Pageant uses the bumping system in the following simple way; all supreme winners cannot win their age division beauty title, optional event awards, or model of the year awards. They can win the People’s Choice Award, Hostess, Mother and Daughter Competition, Father and Daughter Competition or Talent Competition because these are separate competitions.

SECURITY & ADMISSIONSDuring pageant weekend, no one without an admission pass will be allowed in the ballroom at any time, no exceptions. This is to provide a safe environment for contestants and their families. All doors to the ballroom will be secured with staff. There are no alcoholic beverages permitted in the ballroom. Each contestant will receive one weekend admission pass for a parent/guardian with his or her registration fee; all other tickets needed must be purchased. Weekend passes are available for $25.00 each to be purchased pageant weekend. Everyone over 5 years old will need a pass.

PROGRAM BOOKEach contestant must submit a photo of herself with their application. This photo will be used for the program book in the contestant line up portion. Email your photo in JPEG format only to Info@EastCoastUSAPageant.com. By selling ad pages for the national program book you can cover your entry fee for pageant weekend. You may sell advertisement pages to national or local businesses. You may also sell advertisement pages to your family and friends as “Good Luck” pages so they can show their support.

For each FULL page you sell $50.00 will go toward your entry fee. If you sell enough pages to cover your entry fee any additional money earned ($50.00 per full page) will be held on credit for future East Coast USA pageants! The contestant who sells the most ad pages will win the East Coast USA Hostess title and receive a beautiful National crown, banner and gift! If you would like a sample of a past years program book and information packet to get ideas from or to show prospective sponsors the quality advertising they are purchasing, you may call our national office and one will be mailed to you. Our staff will design your pages all you need to do is send us the information you would like on the page and your photo.

East Coast USA Pageant Rules and Regulations1. Your age will be determined as of July 24, 2015. Proof of age should be available upon request.2. This is a fair competition judged by qualified judges. All decisions are final.3. There will be no refunds of entry fees or ad fees, under any circumstances.4. The pageant staff and directors will not accept responsibility for any typographical errors or omissions in the program book.5. All savings bonds will be awarded in the cash equivalent they will be awarded at the conclusion of the pageant. If you are crowned the winner you must stay for photographs or you will not receive your cash award.6. All questions concerning rules, guidelines or any other pageant information should be directed to the national pageant office (908) 612-8305. Correct information cannot be obtained from any other source.7. All contestants must give the pageant permission to use their photographs and video footage for publicity purposes in connection with the pageant.8. All paperwork, entry fees, photo’s and ad pages are subject to deadlines and due dates. Any contestant who fails to meet the proper deadlines and/or due dates will be ineligible to compete. No refunds will be permitted.9. The pageant staff in not responsible for any accident, injury or loss during the pageant.10. Good sportsmanship is essential during competition. The pageant staff will not tolerate any behavior that will in any way tarnish the reputations of the contestants and/or the pageant. If any contestant, parent or guest of a contestant doesn’t conduct themselves in a proper manner or disrupts the pageant in any way, at any time, it will result in immediate disqualification and forfeiting of all prizes, fees, titles, awards, etc.11. The pageant asks that the parents and audience members refrain from the use of tobacco and alcoholic beverages in and around the ballroom area.12. There will be no contracts to sign. We encourage our winners to compete in other competitions.13. No information will be given out concerning who is competing in the pageant or how many contestants are entered. The only way to fairly conduct this type of competition, for everyone involved, in not releasing any information. Thank you for your cooperation in this manner.14. Anyone arriving late for competition line up during the pageant or going over the excessively over the time limits will be subject to point deductions from each judge.15. The pageant staff reserves the right to use their discretion when selecting and accepting contestants for any East Coast USA Pageant. Any contestant who has displayed poor sportsmanship at last year’s pageant or any other pageant may not be accepted as a contestant in the 2015 East Coast USA Pageant National Finals.16. Failure to comply with the rules and guidelines will result in immediate disqualification and forfeiting of all prizes, fees, titles, awards, etc. A parent and/or contestant signature on the application and/or on the line below means both the parent and the child understand the rules and guidelines and agree to abide by them.
