The IDD Needs Council of Tarrant County
Pre-Symposium Evaluation • Registered participants were asked to respond
to a brief Pre-Symposium Evaluation • The objectives of the Pre-Symposium
Evaluation were three-fold: – To understand the demographics of those registered to
attend the Symposium – To establish a snapshot of the extent to which local
participants report that their worship communities are currently inclusive
– To identify the barriers that local participants report currently challenge the inclusive participation of persons with IDD and their families
• 56 registered participants- approximately 40%- completed the Pre-Symposium Survey

Symposium Evaluation • The Post-Symposium Evaluation asked
participants to identify the extent to which the event had met its goals:
– To celebrate the bonds that faith creates and to highlight the importance of a spiritual community that includes persons with IDD
– To highlight the positive impacts of an inclusive community in the lives of persons with IDD, their families, allies, and others in the community
– To highlight the diversity of inclusive worship opportunities locally
– To engage and sustain participation in activities that support inclusive faith communities after Texas Council funding is exhausted
• 58 participants completed the Post-Symposium Survey
