Our office will be closed on Thursday, July 4, in observance of Independence Day. Happy 4th of July to all our residents!
Welcome! We would like to extend a warm welcome to all our new residents. If you have any questions about the community or your new home, please call or stop by the office and we’ll be happy to answer them. To those residents who have renewed their lease, thank you. We’re honored to have you as residents.
Celebrating Our IndependenceOn July 4,1776, we claimed our independence from England and democracy was born.
Every day thousands leave their homeland to come to the “land of the free and the home of the brave” so they can begin their American Dream. The United States is truly a diverse nation made up of dynamic people. It is this diversity that makes our country (and our community) great!
This July 4th we celebrate the gifts of America’s birthday – freedom, independence, and diversity – and are reminded to be thankful that we live in such a great nation.
We hope all of you will have a safe and happy holiday!
Bugged By Bugs?We are happy to provide routine pest control to ensure you are not bugged by bugs. Now that summer is here, it brings out everyone and everything. If by chance some unwanted pests bother you, let us know. We will gladly schedule service to get rid of them for you.
Celebrate WiselyAs you celebrate our nation’s independence, we would like to remind you that fireworks are not to be set off on the property. Be aware that even sparklers can be dangerous and should be used only with extreme caution and common sense. Leave the fireworks to the professionals and visit a public display in our area. So sit back, relax and have a safe holiday.
Fun With FriendsJuly is a fun month to get together with friends, and your guests are always welcome at our community. Remember that you must accompany them whenever they use our facilities. Most importantly, remember you are responsible for the conduct of your guests and responsible for seeing that they too abide by all Community Policies and Procedures. Please help make their stay more enjoyable by informing them of the community policies in advance. Thanks for your cooperation, and we hope you and your guests have a wonderful time!
Don’t Lose Your CoolKeeping your cool can be difficult to do when your air conditioner doesn’t work properly. If you find that the air conditioner is not cooling, turn the unit off and contact the office with a service request. Allowing the unit to continue running will cause it to freeze up and will take longer to repair.
4th of July Pet TipsBombs bursting in air on the Fourth of July may make you feel patriotic, but it may stress out or frighten your pet. Surprisingly, the days after July 4 are some of the busiest days for animal care specialists, and more pets run away during this time than most other times. If you follow these safety tips for July 4, you greatly increase the chance that the holiday will be happy for everyone.• Don’t take dogs to places where there may be fireworks. • If you plan to be away from home on the holiday, keep your pet inside in a quiet, protected
room. • If you’re at home with a scared dog, don’t reinforce its behavior by offering sympathy.
Instead, divert its attention by practicing an obedience routine or playing a game. • Leave a scared cat alone. Don’t try to force a feline from its hiding place. The cat will come
out when it feels safe.
Senior SummersSeniors and summers go hand in hand. No matter your age, it’s a great time to take advantage of the great outdoors.• Silver Sneakers is a health and fitness program designed for adults 65+ that’s included with
many Medicare plans.• Walk on a trail, light hike, along the beach or around your favorite park. • Include bird watching on your walk for extra interest.• Grab your friends, find a little town nearby and stroll up and down main street or the town
square. You can window shop, try on clothes and find a delicious place to eat.• Biking can be fun addition to your routine. Find some easy, non-hilly routes to get started.
Check with your local or county parks department for help.• Go fish! Grab your pole and your worms and spend a couple of hours on the shore. It’s
relaxing, you’re in the great outdoors and you just might have a great supper.
