Technical concepts 101 (crash course)

Angel investor - An investor who provides financial backing for small startups or entrepreneurs.

Venture Capitalist - An investor who provides capital to startup ventures that wish to expand without public funding


Bootstrapping - Using personal finance or operating revenues of the new company

Crowd-funding - Small amounts of capital from a large number of individuals to finance a new business venture

Seed-funding - Initial capital used to start a business (e.g.: Bootstrap, AI etc)

Angel-investment - Investment is on average around €50,000 and 2.5x multiple

Venture-Capital - Larger scale of private investment - Round A is on av. €1.5 m
