Funding: structural funds - Operational program R&D for Innovation 2007-2013, already selected for the Indicative list of projects, app. 320 mil. EUR.
Schedule: 2009 – full call for proposals 2010 – project approval (both CZ and European Commission) 2010-2014 – construction and acquisition
of equipment

International Clinical Research Center Brno Location: St. Anne’s University Hospital Brno. Mission: Establishing the first international center for applied
medical research capable of accelerating research process and knowledge transfer from bench to bedside.
Key aspects: Novel concept and logistics of scientific collaboration & strong transatlantic partnership.
Strategic U.S. Partner: Mayo Clinic (Rochester, MN, USA) Funding: Approved as strategic project of the Government of
the Czech Republic with budget of 80 mil. EUR. Construction expected to be completed in 12/2010.
Global position: After CERN and International Space Station, ICRC Brno will be the third international research center sharing identical principles and values with CERN and ISS.
